I've got a problem. I get worked up over the smallest things, like really small. Like once I accidentally dialed the wrong number and a stranger picked up, I couldn’t stop feeling embarrassed. And today in class I saw my friend had her homework out that we were going to correct in about 10 minutes. And I thought we weren’t allowed to change our answers in class so I leant over to see if I was sure it was the home work (I didn’t want to get in trouble if I did change my answers last minute) well I was right, so I got mine out and changed an answered because I saw a spelling mistake. She told the teacher I copied her and a couple of my friends and I still feel embarrassed about it when I wasn’t even copying. The people who do know about it didn’t mention it or anything, they probably don’t remember but I still feel embarrassed. How do I stop overreacting in things like this and get rid of this feeling when I don’t need to feel it? Please, please help. Thanks.

Hey Strawberry apple,As the old saying goes, “There’s no use in crying over spilled milk.” Basically, there’s no point in getting yourself all worked up about the little things—they’re not worth your time and effort. If you let the little things bother you, then you’re always going to be upset. There are more important things to go crazy over—an embarrassing moment is not the end of the world even though it may feel like it at the time. Blush Much moments happen to everyone all the time. I’ve heard that laughter is often the best medicine and I think it’s true. Whenever you find yourself in an embarrassing moment, instead of going crazy, laugh about it. Being able to laugh at yourself shows you’re comfortable with yourself and you’re confident. It also shows you’ve got a chill attitude because you’re not worried about what other people are thinking. ***MOD*** so i really like this guy and he likes me back. he asked me out and i told him i would think about it, and i want to say yes to him tomorrow. the problem is, he is sort of a bad boy and i dont think any of my friends really like him. my guy friends arent too fond of him either, one even said he wont talk to me until i break up with the guy! i know he was just joking, but still. i should still go out with him, right?

Hey Mod, Today we were playing agame in gym, and my so called 'team' put me in goal which I stink at and never wanted to do because my eyesight is really bad, and I'm not good, at all. So anyways, the other teams kept scoring on us and I was getting yelled at by them and I have a really bad mouth when I get mad! I was swearing so much, but I felt that if they were complaining so much, why the heck didn't they go in? They didn't even pick it fairly, they did the whole 'not it' thing, while I was talking to the gym teacher! So, two things: was I right to feel this way, and how the heck do I keep my sailor mouth shut? Thanks--Swimmin' Somewhere

i know exactly how you feel, strawberryapple. i blush over the tiniest things, and when i blush, i really BLUSH! my face goes from pale to beet red in seconds! like, this one time, i was in social studies, and my teacher said something about first kisses, and just because i had been sitting next to my ex bf, who i shared my first kiss with, i started blushing! my friends think its cute, but i dont! the point is, i really do know exactly how you feel.

that happens to me too. once I texted someone (I thought it was my friend) and i guess I had the wrong # because the next day I had a voicemail from some guy saying that i had texted him and he was like "yo, who r u?" I deleted it right away, needless to say I did not call back. it sounded like a guy my age or a little older so it would be sooo weird if it was someone from school! I was sooo embarassed about it, I was like "what if he calls me again?" so anyway, yeah, I'm over it now.

fun chick: Fliring is an art, and it takes a long time to master. Some it comes easy for others hard. You really just need to be yourself. Over the phone flirting is kind of hard, you should try not to sound bored, but not to perky. Try saying "cute" things. Same with txting, don't talk about lame things. Now, flirting in person is the most easiest. There are a couple of ways: 1. Looking them in the eyes for a couple of seconds then smiling. This is kind of hard, because you need to get their attention. 2. Talking to them! Just being yourself and showing your real femine side. 3. Smiling, winking, and other body gestures are other ways. 1. well, you could just flirt like you do in real life. like "hey..i hope youre going to the dance..." and if youre comfortable, you could do a <3. 2. like yuore talking to him face to face 3. well, dont be so obvious that he's scared. just be really nice, funny, and smile! HUGE TIP!!!! flirting is NOT being mean. sometimes, you can tease playfully, but please, please, dont make fun of him. he'll think of you as a bully, not a potential gf! and one last tip that sounds cheezzzyyy but its so true: be yourself, dont go out of your comfort zone, and have fun!
