GIRL TALK: About A Boy

Ok. I am really confused about this boy that I like.Well, today in class for no reason he says my name out loud, when I looked at him after he said my name he looks at his desk. Then later later when we were heading home on the bus he taps my shoulder, when I look to see if it was him,which it was,he just looks at me with this weird faced smile. A few days ago he was saying my name alot to other people, I couldn’t make out what he was saying though. Last week I overheard him saying that he likes this other girl. But this week he doesn’t mention her and starts saying MY name. This guy is not really my crush by the way.I am really confused!!! What do you think about this guy? Do you think he likes me or what?

Dear Jackie Loves,

Before you jump to any conclusions, you should try to find out what he’s been saying to other people when he’s mentioned you. Casually approach the people he was talking to when you overheard him saying your name and ask them what it was about. There’s definitely a reason you’re the topic of all his conversations! If it turns out he does like you, you have to decide how you feel about it. If you don’t really have a crush on him, and he doesn’t seem to be putting actions to his words, then it’s not worth the trouble. But, if he seems like someone you’d be interested in, stick with your usual get-the-guy routine and see how he responds.

ok i've got a big problem...its like a guy/friends prob. ok so i really like this guy. and he likes me back. we've been like a couple for like 2 months now, and my friend likes him too. alot. so yeah. thas basically it. and i feel so horrible cos i mean its like how can i be going out with a guy that my close friend likes?? and i've talked to her about this, we talked 4 like an hour and we still havent come up with a solution, i mean she can't jus like stop liking him, and even if she tells ppl that she doesnt like him, i'll know that she does and i'll still feel horrible. and i really really like this guy, i don wanna break up with him either. and my friend is like so humble and so like, nice cos she says she'll be able to live with it, but how can i live with it?? please help

I’ve liked a guy for awhile and we were real good friends before he found out i liked him. Well, we kinda flirted at first when he first found out I liked him, but then we stopped because it was tech week for our play and we had no time together. He’s really good friends with my BFF, who has to get herself involved in everything (she’s the one who accidentally told him) and has asked him out for me, jokingly. He apparantly got all red and said that he doesnt like me. Now I barely see him except in the halls, and I dont know whether to get over him or ask him if he likes me or not, without the help of my BFF. By the way, I’ve never liked anyone as much as him. He doesn't date, and he says he doesn't because only weird ugly people like him and that i'm the first pretty girl to like him. He's also going to high school next year, and I'll be in 8th grade.

I wouldn't ask him if he likes you, but you can still flirt and see how he acts. That way you're less likely to scare him off by putting him on the spot.

If oyu really like this guy maby you should tell him the problem. My friend broke up with her bf for the same reason of not wanting to loose her friend. For a wile he told her it was a stupid idea and they fought i wuz the 1 to solve it and to find out that he was really hurt because she didn't tell him. Talk to your bf and c what he thinks it might save you alot of trouble from both frieng and bf.

i have a big prob too...i've been goin out with my bf who's in 9th grade (im in 8th) for nine months and we're doing good. the problem is, he has twin sisters in 7th grade who are friends with this girl in my grade (but goes to a different school) who likes my bf a lot and asked him out once, but he said no. it's sooooo annoying and i get really jealous whenever she's over...and now my bf's sisters invited her over for his birthday party! If you truelly don't care then don't worry about it. If you really do like him then tell him how you feel. Don't just say "I like you" maybe say "I was wondering if we could go out some time" or something like that. Be out-going and ask him out. If he's not into you he'll say no if he's interested then he'll be glad to go out with you. Just roll w/ the punches lil' sister. :)

The Pretty Committee ♥- I love The Clique books, too! I read the first one last summer for a book project, and then I got all the rest. I read the second one in a day. Which one's your favorite? You know, if I were you, I'd let time takes its course and see what happens. In my honest opinion, it's the guy's job to make the first move (call me old fashioned). So if he has a thing for you, he'll approach you when he's really ready to deal with his feelings. Until then, you shouldn't worry about what he thinks of you. You can still have a crush on him, but think of him as your really good friend and someone that you admire. Check out Super Target. I saw a cute pink one there for like $200. Also, Kodak has cameras that are disposable but you can get a Digital CD when you get it developed. If you get a few of those it's STILL less than buying a digital camera, but if you really want a digital then definately check out Super Target...oh and Best Buy too!

hey peeps if any read my prob the other day the school bus romance well here's an update~
Well after our school dance friday i called him (btw we didnt dance together i hardly saw him) and he was like "i didnt get to last dance with tressa i was so sad!" (btw he say last dance cuz last slow song at a dance of this school year and tressa i found out later is this girl who he likes :cry: ) im like "awwwww im sorry" out of oure reaction to someone elses sadness then we talked and stuff and then i looked in my year book from last year, and found out exactly who tressa is what she looks like and i beat myself up i was like "Chloe how could you have been so stupid?" "You could never compete with that" So im getting over him slowly but surely, i was so sad yesturday it wasnt even funny, my bff said maybe he was just saying that to make me jealous (but Why????? idk) i dont think so tho, but i feel better today i spent like all yesturday reading and listining to my fav songs i read "The Clique" in one day thank u very much! :wink: and im working on "TTYL" i suggest those books to yall if your ever bored it makes you 4get your problems and think about other ppls even if is just a book but im gonna stay friends with allen even if it doesnt end like i wanted it too. so theres your update peeps if ya care

Hey Charlie--you shouldnt want to lose weight for a guy, you should want to lose it for yourself ( if you even need to). Unfortunately, there is no healthy quick fix to losing that much weight. It takes people who are on diets a few weeks to lose 15 pounds. I would just eat healthy and do cardio a few times a week. Ok, girls. I have a bad reputation. And everyone knows who I am, but not for good reasons. Some girls aren't even allowed to hang out with me because their parents don't want me to "influence" them!!! The older kids at school whisper when I walk past and call me names. But there are people who are nice to me still, and I love them to death. My parents asked me if I want to move. I want to be away from the haters, but what about all the people who are nice to me? I don't want to like, never see them again. What do you think?

I think you should make a list of pros and cons for leaving. If the pros outweigh the cons, it might be best to consider that step and just make a strong effort to keep in touch with your friends. Just because you move doesn't mean you have to lose your old friends.

Well, find some common factor between you. If you notice that they like a band or something that you like, say "Oh, you like ___ too!? It's my favorite!" or you could try complimenting them (flattery is always nice): "That's a cute shirt, where'd you get it?" If you're meeting them through a friend, ask them how they know your friend and go from there.

The 12 page paper is turning out to be about my definition of art, using the works of a poet named Philip Larkin to explain how my definition is different from his and how it affected my reading of his works. After I finish writing it, though, I have another 8-10 page paper to write. The 8-10 page paper is going to be about Virginia Woolf and basically how everyone identifies her as a lesbian writer because she had a relationship with a woman and includes several instances of such behavior in her books, but I don't believe she was a lesbian writer, or even a true lesbian at all, but rather a woman who wanted to break the mold and not be limited to social standards of the 18th century... boring, I know, haha...

Hey i have a problem 2 my ex boyfriend's best friend likes me and he got my cell phone # from my Ex (i am still really good friends with him we still talk) so he called me on friday while i was babysitting he was wondering if i wanted to hang out with him but i couldn't (didn't want to either) so he said he would come over and say hi to me (i didn't want this either)but then i said i had to go and for him to call me back in like 10 minutes but i just turned my phone off and ignored him. let me tell you the best part of our convo was when i heard my ex say hay hollie in the backround!! i still ♥him but... so there is this other guy (we can call him guy2)who likes me a lot and i like guy2 a lot also (he found this out thurs.)so he told his friend that he would ask me out friday so he walked me all the way to my locker but he never got up the nerve to ask me apparently!so... hopefuly this week he will ask me.

It's fine if you wear tank-tops. Just try to watch who you wear tank-tops around though. I sometimes wear tank-top like shirts and my friends look at me as if I'm insane. It hurts my feelings but I ignore that part of them. At a sleepover I had this really cute shirt on (pajama shirt: lacy, spagetti straps, oh so cute, etc. and i had this cute little shorts with them--really short shorts) and my friends kept on calling me names. It hurt but I just ignored the comments. What made it hurt more was that is was my birthday party!!!!!!!!!! I feel better now but at least I was stylish and looking good. I don't know how this story is supposed to help though. lol

Hmm, well, guys can be confusing. First of all, you should try to figure out what he's been saying at you, like Chelsea said, then if he does like you, mayybe you could try to hang out with him more, and figure out why he's been so random. I mean, just try to become more of a friend, or try talking to him more. But if he doesn't like you, you could try to ignore him and don't be bothered with him. Or ask him why he's been saying your name and tapping you on the back randomly and stuff. Guys do that to annoy you sometimes...they're so weirdd!
