My BF and I hang out on the weekends and my family has known him for seven years. However, every time we hang out, my brother has to be there. (We hang out in public btw). My brother hates going to the place we hang out and he makes my mom come get us early, which takes time away from me and my BF’s time together. We only see each other on the weekends and we go to different schools. My brother is also really annoying to us and hangs over us all the time. How can I convince my mom to let me hang out with him without my brother there? I understand why my mom is making him go but I want to spend time with my BF without my brother around.- Gabry Well at least it's your brother tagging along and not your parents! But I totally understand that it's impeding on your quality time. Maybe if you went somewhere your brother enjoyed more, you'd have more time to hang out with your BF?Or try to come up with some alternatives so your brother doesn't have to be around. Like, maybe you could hang out at your house instead. Maybe you could just watch a movie in the living room or something. Or maybe if you have a bunch of other friends with you, your parents wouldn't require your brother to tag along. Try talking to your mom and let her know that you understand her reasoning for having your bro chaperone, but that it's cutting into your time with him because he always wants to leave early since of course it's not necessarily fun for him. If she's willing to compromise, I'm sure you guys can work out something that satisfies the both of you.<3 Jessie M.

MOD!! This is a stupid Q but why do some of the boys make fun of me for being upper-middle class and stuff when other ppl are too? I feel like I take all the blame!! Or when boys make fun of me for being short! literally all the time!! And there are ppl shorter than me in my jr. high too, but I am usually the only one who gets made fun of about it!! why is this?? Why are they doing it????
Hey girl, they probably like to make fun of you because they think you're cute and want you to notice them. Take it as a compliment, but if it's really bothering you then tell them that and explain why it hurts your feelings. I'm sure they'll knock it off if you tell them to!~Kristin

MOD I have a problem. I have this "friend". Well we were close friends in elementary school, but ever since then we've grown way apart. She's gone more emo while I've gone more preppy, she likes talking about bands that I hate, I like talking about boys and she doesn't so much. It's hard because she doesn't really notice that I'm trying to put space between us. Whenever we hang out we do absolutely nothing because the only thing we used to do was play pretend games, but we don't do that anymore! It's hard though, because she hasn't branched out nearly as much as I have so I'm one of her few friends. I'm running out of reasons to not to hang out with her!!
When you hang out with her, try doing activities that will keep both of you busy (like going to a movie) so that you don't have to talk about things you two don't have in common. -lauren

Maybe if u and your boyfriend want to go out in public and your bro has to come along, go to something like a movie so you won't have to see him and you'll still get out of the house. Or u could compromise with your mom, like Jessie said. xoxo good luck!

Well, I understand that you don't want your brother hanging around you two, but at least it's better than not even seeing him at all. Maybe you could ask your mom if your brother could go along, but go somewhere else, then meet you back somewhere? My mom doesn't even let me go to the movies with a guy and nobody else, so I know exactly where you're coming from.

hey MOD*** two days ago my crush asked me out and immediately said yes, and i was so happy! so was he. but this afternoon he IMed me and said that things were the same between us as it was when we were just friends, and that there wasnt anything special going on. it was only two days. dont you think that was wrong of him to break it off so early? im really hurt.

You can make her a really nice and creative card for her that shows you put in alot of time and effort. You can also make a collage of pictures for her, or even write her a poem. Im sure whatever you do your mom will love it because it is home made and comes from the heart.

Talk to your dad and tell him how you dont like the way he has been treating you. He may be having a bad day and just took his anger out on you because you were there, but tell him it upsets you and you want to know if you did anything to be treated that way.

mod i really like this guy. i mean really like him. the thing is i have liked him for a really long time. 1 year actually. he dated my best friend. my bff dumped him and he was all upset. but that was forever ago. my bff has totally moved on, but he hasn't! why cant he get over her. i have asked him out a bunch of times and he always says no! he hasnt moved on yet, i am scared that he never will. what am i gonna do ig i can never get over him, and he can never get over her. i just hate this!
SOmetimes it takes people longer then others to get over people, dont worry your friend will get over his ex he may just need more time. Once he finds soemone else he will move on.

SOmetimes people take a long time to get over their ex and need to figure it out on their own. YOu just have to wait and be patient until he is ready.

He is probably just as confused as you are. Try talking to him and ask him to hang out with you again. Tell him you want to get to know him more and that you think he is a really cool guy.

Just eat healthy and exercise. Dont eat too much of anything, moderation is the key. Try stay away from junk food and sodas and eat more vegetables and protein.

Sounds like he likes you. Show him how you feel and tell him how you feel, and chances are if he feels the same way he will admit it. Just keep hanging and talking to him and show him you care.

Just hang out and talk to him even if other people are around. That way it is not akward and their are other people there to talk and be with. Next time you see him go over and say hi and talk to him,
