I have a problemo! I always have like stuffed animals for a bunch of reasons (soft, cute, cuddly) but I’m 12 going on 13 REALLY soon! Wahoo! I think I need to move on from stuffed animals…or at least stop buying them! I have my bunny toy, which has been mine since I was a baby. I cannot sleep without it and I’m fine with that, but whenever I see a very cute teddy I can’t stop myself from going “Aww, so cute!” and wanting to buy it. I mean it’s not as bad as it sounds but I feel less mature when I see something like that. How can I stop myself from falling in luv with everything soft and cuddly and well stuffed-animally?I have another problem too! Thanks 4 bearing with me! I can never REALLY be myself. Like in school I feel so shy and stuff…and I’m NOT shy at all! I can’t find anything to say either. I don’t know. My friends are like totally random so I could basically say ANYTHING…from talking about boys to touching your tongue to your nose. Haha! But I can NEVER think of anything to say! Maybe you could only buy stuffed animals you really, really want and have your parents give you stuffed animals as a present on holidays. Everyone has something quirky about them—it just so happens we love stuffed animals.It can be difficult to be yourself in middle school, but there is only one person you can be—yourself! Since you’re not shy, I’m sure you have tons of great things to say, you just need to open up a little! Next time your friends are talking about something you find interesting, feel free to jump in and tell a story or share a funny moment. Hey girly, it's crazy awesome that you can admit to talking bout yourself too much! Now you can actually fix the problem! It's ok to mention things you do, but how about asking other people about what they do or feel? For example, if the topic turns to soccer (which you're AMAZING at), instead of bragging about your sports skills, ask other people if they play soccer and what position they play. What other sports do they play? To be less shy, the key is to just relax and become comfortable in any situation. If you're nervous, you'll tense up and over-think alot. MOD MOD MOD MOD i have a similar prob! i have stuffed animals AND dolls on my room like porcelon dolls! they have their little outfits and everything! PLUS! i sleep with a little bear! AND my room is pink with kinda pol-dot green + white!!!!! iam worried wat my friends + some people will think. Like if my family invites some friends over (that has a cute son). Hey girl! I know that you may be self-conscious about your room, but here's a question: Do you like your room? If "no", maybe it's time for a change. But if you do like your room, who cares what others think? Someone will always have something nice to say about your room/stuffed animals, and someone will always have something mean to say. It's up to you to decide if you want a room that you like or others like. Someday you may decide to get rid of the dolls or repaint the walls, but no one is saying you need to do it now! You know, it really sucks that the media makes us feel so crappy about ourselves! if a guy really loves u, he's looking into ur eyes, not where that ounce of fat mite be. think about it. besides, do we all really need boyfriends rite now anyway? there's so much more to life than spending 30 grand on ur body. And for what? so u can tell every1 you've had lipo or a boob job? so u can be made of plastic? maybe rite now guys r shallow, but i'd like 2 believe that wen they hit about 25, they won't be like "oh i wont go out with her. she's too fat." 'Cause i know i wouldn't be like "oh, he's too tall...or too blonde...or he doesnt have six pack abs." we r not like that, and i dont think all guys r like that...and sumtimes we categorize all of them as jerks and losers, or we sort them into cute and not-cute groups, and we'd never give the not-cute guys a second thought. we'd be soooo pissed if guys did that 2 us, and i know the shallow ones do. i operate on the principle that most people in the world are good. im saying this because i know what its like 2 be horribly depressed about ur body. believe me. think about it. most people get married unless they choose not to, so obviously we cant just give up on ourselves because we dont look perfect as a teenager. one thing i want to add is that i read somewhere about the band the plain white t's and tom higgenson was saying that they want to send a positive message to their teen audience, esp. teen girls, that they aren't ugly and worthless, as the media leads girls to believe. And see? thats a bunch of famous guys saying that. granted, i dont know much about the band, but i read that, and i thought that was pretty neat.

OMG I have this problem too. I love stuffed animals to death! I probably have about 50 too. I only sleep with 6 of them right now though. I also don't buy them anymore. The last one I got was a really cute white dog in my easter basket. So if you do love, love, LOVE stuffed animals, don't feel bad!

!~MOD~! Ahhh!! I really like my BGF (let's call him Ben.) We hang out a lot and we have a lot of fun together. He flirts a lot, but the problem is he flirts with other girls, too. A few days ago Ben told me that he likes this girl named Ana. I accidentally told someone that Ben likes Ana. Ben got mad at me for awhile, but then he forgave me and said that he doesn't really like Ana. When I asked him who he likes he said he doesn't like anyone. I don't really believe him. Also, my BFF told me that she knows who Ben really does like, but she wouldn't tell me if it was Ana or someone else (she might just be joking.) Then today, Ben was stuck on an equation and Ana came all the way across the room to Ben to help him out, but our teacher told her not to help him. Ana still whispered the answer to Ben. The teacher got mad at her, but Ben just laughed. He also spends a lot of time with this other girl, Bre. I'm so confused on who he likes I don't know what to do!! Do you think I should just drop it and forget about who he likes? HELP!!!
Hey girly! If "Ben" flirts with you plus alot of girls, it's probably just harmless flirting. He may not like anyone at this point, or maybe he likes multiple girls! MoD i get weekly progess reports @ school 2 keep mi on track. well a few weeks ago mi teacher filled it out and put a failing test grade i got onto it. i wasn't happy w/ that so i alterned it. mi mom had 2 sign it Aand she could teel i changed it. she then brought it 2 the princeapal and i got office detenion.but i'm not a "bad" person i just make stupid choices!! how can i stop doin that? oxox Celine
Gal, everyone makes "bad" decisions at times. You shouldn't have altered that grade, but at least you can admit it wasn't a nice thing to do. To stop making decisions you end up regretting, you should practice some self-restraint. If you want to do something really badly but know that you'll get in trouble for it, just control yourself. It's not worth the trouble you'll get yourself into. Practice this now, and you'll thank yourself much later in life when dealing with things more serious than report cards. Luv ya! Abbie

You're one lucky girl to have such a close relationship with your bro! Who cares what your friends say? They're prob just upset that you spend more time with your little sib than you do with them. MOD!!!!!! I know this might seem like a very shalow question, but for some reason I'm paraniod about it, so here it goes: I saw my crush(of 2 years) walking out of the supermarket yesterday. At first I didn't reconize him(I wasn't wearing my glasses, shame on me)and when I finally saw that it was him I smiled and he smiled back. I forgot to wave(don't make fun of me, I was suprised that I was able to regulate my heart beat,never mind controll my mouth muscles)I wan't sure if he was waving to me or not!(I know, I'm blind without my glasses)Do you think he thinks I'm weird for not waving, especially since I'm not uber-social in school? ***MOD*** I feel like an idiot right about now. See, my friends and I got in trouble- it was our fault but all a big misunderstanding. Now they've been kinda rude to a lot of people, and I've been wrapped up in my family troubles and just sorta went along. So the principal talked to us today, and I just got really worked up and cried. The principal and teacher knows that I didn't mean to do anything, and that I was just sort of dragged into this, but I feel really guilty because my friends are in trouble and I'm not. Help! Thanks!
Even though things may be hard at home, you can't let that get you in trouble at school. You're lucky that your principal is so understanding, but your friends may not be since you got off easy. Ask your principal if you can do anything to apologize, and if your pals ask why they are serving detention and you're not, just say you're sorry about what happened, but that you're being punished in a diff way. good luck girly! "MOD" I am doing this online school thing were I have to do it all on my own and its kinda hard. Well, I kinda got behind because my mom and I just started traveling in a semi, and i'm still getting used to it. The thing is that it is almost summer and I have alot to do. It is stuff that you can take your time on and go at your own pace, but you still have to do a certain amount in a certain amount of time. Should i do school work in the summer to catch up? Definately do the work over the summer, just do a a little bit a week, you dont have to do everything at once. Remember that its just going to keep piling up so you may as well try to keep it manageable. xoxo JANA

MOD I have never been freaked out like this before and it's happening to me and my friend. We both go to the same kroger and there's a guy that works there that we both know. He is 19 and a senior and he hits on me and my friend and we are 14. It's getting kind of scary too. He has invited both of us to go to a concert with him but I told him that I couldn't and I'm not sure what she said but she doesn't want to go. When i told him that I couldn't go, he grabbed my hands a begged basically. He also comes up behind me and puts his arm around me. It's really uncomfortable and my mom knows about it and so does my friends mom. What should I do? I'm getting really freaked out.

If they don't like that idea, ask them if they can change the song or radio station. Once my period was really heavy and I made sure to double up with a tampon and pad. Later that day at school, my crush walked up to me and asked me what was on the back of my pants. I didn't know what he was talking about, so I ran to the bathroom. When I came back, I had to tell him it was ketchup.
