Sinai Hospital in New York. Doctors can use a laser to shrink the scar tissue. “You can even move the scar to a more unnoticeable place—good for facial scars. With raised or indented scars, smoothing procedures even out the surface of the skin.” As for the wonders of vitamin E? “It does nothing,” says Dr. Spencer.

It sounds like you have a great summer girl! Hanging out with friends and going swimmin sounds like fun to me, you could also get involved in a summer sport or ride a bike with your family. Shaving nicks and ingrown hairs heal with time, I just recommend shaving around them for a bit till they are better. And as far as your ex, he might start flirting with you again, and wanting to hang out with you. Hope that helps!

MOD I have a huge pimple on my nose! It was just a black head, but then my mom tried to squeeze it and it got HUGE, red and hard. It's been here for a week and it only got a little better! How do I get rid of it, and will it be gone by Saturday?

It will just be the same when you hang out with guys at school and stuff. I would just avoid the gossip and girly type things, because guys usually get a bit freaked out when stuff like that happens. It will be a lot of fun! Just be yourself and enjoy it girl!

MOD~ I have had acne on my face, shoulders, back, and chest for atleast two years. It is so anyoning because it is really all over. I have tried natural stuff and all these other products. I don't over do it, but i really need to get rid of it. It has started to look a little better, but not much. PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPlease help!

OMG i have the ugliest scar on my elbow from when my friend tripped me while we were running it's all raised and not smooth and a gross red color ugh it is such a pain to deal with cause to top it all off is itches thankfully i have an appointment with the dermatologist soon :-D

i have this HUGE scar on my thigh. its from when i burnt myself once on an oven rack. but its annoying. also i have a big one on my knee from when i was in PE a couple of months ago and, being the clutz i am, tripped off the curb while running. its humongous. and i have one on my ankle from when i got burnt from my dirt bike. and one on my eye from when i got hit in the eye with a wooden swing thingy at my g-mas house. wow......i never rele noticed how much i get hurt. ouch. lol.

**MOD** My mom told me it's okay to leave tampons in for over eight hours, as long as it's not too long. Like I have a really light period, so on my heaviest days, I'll use a regular absorbancy tampon. Most days I use light tampons. She said it's okay if I accidentally leave it in for 9 hours or something, or if I want to sleep with one in, as long as I don't sleep for like 14 hours. Is she right

MOD!!! (: I have acne. I have tried stuff like pro-active, little pads with alcohol on them, and almost everything under the sun! and its not just once i try it for at least a month. i've seen a dermatologist and they put me on pills.. its made little progress but not much. i feel really un-confident with it when all of my friends have less then or none compared to me. I need something that works! have you heard of anything else? like (ex. lemon juice) - that doesn't work (i just said that) but i mean like not a medicine. I need something! i'm starting high school in the fall and would like to get rid of it! PLEASE HELP! thanks!

i have 3 scars: 1 on my ankle (fell off of a mini 4-wheeler, 3rd degree burn on ankle) the 2nd on my thigh(opened a camper door while standing on a tailgating chair{u know, the cloth 1s?} and the corner of the door cut my thigh *REALLY* deep! OUCH! didnt bleed much though!) and the last (if it is the last) on my 2nd toe, (idk where i got it! haha)

Try to hold a hot compress on it (run a rag under hot water). That will help with the redness and swelling eventually. Make sure you keep it clean and try not to mess with it too much. Doubt it'll be completely gone by Saturday, but hopefully it'll be better!

It's a little too early to say if he likes you, but keep chatting with him and all like you are and see how things go! But also give him a little time to get over his ex gf. You don't want to be the rebound, you know?

MOD, i have a scar from my stitches when i was like 5, but its right on my forehead! so its definetely noticable. same thing goes for it, or what?
It'll fade in time. But try using something like Mederma to help it fade sooner.

1. If he always looks at you afterwards, it's very possible he's showing off for you.
2. He was definitely trying to help you and probably loved that you were sharing an interest with him.
It definitely sounds like he likes you! Not sure about the kissing thing, because I watch people's lips when they talk just to help me make sure I understand what they're saying, not cause I want to kiss them! lol

Mention it to your doctor at your next visit. They're not experts on skin like a dermatologist, but they might be able to help you a little anyway. Make sure you're eating a healthy diet, drinking plenty of water, and washing your face in the morning and at night (and don't forget to moisturize with an oil-free face lotion!)

1. He might not realize it, or he might not mean it that way. But you could just call him out on it the next time he does it and maybe joke with him and say, "Are you flirting with me?? You know I'm with so-and-so!"
2. Tell her you're uncomfortable with how she's treating you. She won't know unless you do, and I'm sure she wants anything but to make you feel that way and would appreciate your honesty.

Hey everyone, Trust me it is not that easy to get rid of scars....When I was about one years old I was diagnosed with hip dysplesia and I had to have surgery so that my leg could get re-positioned in my hip. I have a huge scar from about my waist down the side of my hip. I love wearing swimsuits and I have learned to uncover and just live that I have a scar and a story. Also when I was about 9 I fell off of a couch and landed on a metal bracket and had to get 10 stiches in my knee so know I have a scar that looks like the smile part of a smiley face when I flex my knee. At first I was very self-conscience about it because I am a dancer and we always flex our knees, but I learned that everybody has something embarrassing about them and there is no need to cover it!! Also I wouldn't really worry about putting Vitimians on your scar because I had been putting it on both of my scars everyday for about 4 years and then just stopped because it was not working. I wouldn't waste the time and money unless you really think that your scar is that embarrassing!!!

***Mod*** Hello Mod lovely, unfortunately, I am back with another baffling situation...So I took your advice about talking to my bgf about flirting with me (this JUST happened) and I called him out on it. And he said "Maybe I am." So I replied "Why would you do that to me and to your friend?!" and he said "I'm doing it for him, not for you." I replied, of course, "What?" and he said that my bf confided in him that he was scared of losing me to other guys, so apparently, he was testing me. I'm kinda ticked with my bf right now, but I'm also kinda having an "Awww" moment. I'm ticked because it might mean he doesn't trust me. But I'm having an "aww" moment because this could also mean that he's afraid that he'll lose me, (meaning that he must have strong feelings for me, right?) So I don't really know how to react to this situation. What should I say/do to my bf?
Totally understandable. I'd mention it to him and say that while it's sweet in a way, it's sort of disheartening to think he might not trust you. Then give him a chance to explain and go from there.
