My hair is extremely rough, split-ended, and crinkly, but my scalp is like an oil mine! If I wash my hair on a Wednesday morning, it's greasy and oily by Thursday afternoon. My mom told me to keep conditioner off the roots and only apply it to the ends, which I tried, but that hasn't really helped. Is there any way for me to keep my hair soft and un-crinkly without making my scalp any oilier?-Anonymous
Expert Advice From Nelson: Be sure to keep conditioner off of the scalp and use a scalp shampoo to cleanse. Refrain from washing hair every day,which makes the scalp dry and then it overproduces oil.

Anonymous- u should tell someone like the hairdresser or somebody that is into and knows about cosmetics and see what they say but for now i would do what ur mom said. mhen u get help from a beautician of some sort make sure u do it immediately before it gets out of control. hope that helped

my hair is the same way! my hair near my scalp sticks together but my other hair will last an hour or 2 looking nice then it will get all frizzy!!!!! ne advice???

hey girl! short hair is usually pretty popular in the summer, but you can ask when you go to get it cut what they think is best.

Also if you put some baby powder on your roots it makes it less oily

Hey! there is this stuff called Tea Tree shampoo and condioner and it helps dry skin and oily. the other thing is my hair used to me ooily and i could never figure out why. it turns out that i did not get all the shampoo and condioner out. after both push your hand across your hair. it should skweak.
