so i think i just got my period. (finally, im 14 1/2) but im unsure. it was only i lil bit and like i didnt feel wet or anything. i got it today, and 2 days ago. but not yesterday. its weird so i was just wondering if you think i gt. i have a pad now, and i wanna wait ti tell my mom. i dont wanna a false alarm.

Hey girlie,

Tell your mom what is going on with your bod and she'll get some stuff for you in case you have your period. You might be getting discharge that leads up to getting your period.

Hey, well i'm 14 and got my period when i was 13. Thankfully, i have a regular pattern and it comes the same week of each month so its easy to predict. But, those of you who dont have it, be thankful! With mine comes killer cramps that make me so different, my friends are always like, wow why are you so weird today, im like, sorry aunt flows catching up with me. lol any questions or anything, visit my profile=)

can people smell your pad if you dont change it often enough?

If you dont change it enough it will get full and youll leak. So change it on a daily basis. And yes sometime people can smell it. xoxo kerra

I have it and it is hard to tell when. but at the beginning of the month, just put a pad or a tampon in, and you can forget about it, until you change it! HAPPY AND FREE!

Hey girl! Every girl is different so you'll just have to be patient! Those are all good signs but they aren't really ways to pinpoint when you will get it!

ive been discharging for about a year, i have pubic hair and all. my mom got her period at 13 and i know its usually 2 years after you start to develop, that u get ur period, im 12 should i be expecting next year after my bday

Hey babe, there's really no way to tell when you're gonna get your period. You have signs that you're going through puberty so it sounds like it's on it's way but you'll just have to wait it out until it comes and then you'll know!

I haven't started my period and I'm turning 15 in July! I feel so abnormal all the time. Is there something wrong with me? This is why I wish I had my period so I knew I had nothing to worry about. What do I do?

I have had my period since March i had no idea it was coming . I've gotten used to it,but i go to a catholic school so we need to wear uniforms. I've already had two accidents on my gym uniform So all to those who haven't gotten it your lucky .

Hey girl! It's all a matter of preferance. Try some of each and see what you like best. For me, I started with trainging bras and sports bras before I used ones with cups. I thought it was an easier transition, but it's all up to you! Best, Kristen

Hey girl! When it's just you two, you can try talking to her about it again and letting her know that you changed your mind. It may seem awk, but she's been there before too! Hey chica, the average age is 12 years old. There is a high chance that you will get your period around that age, since periods have a lot to do with dna and genetics. Storing pads in your locker is a great idea. You never know when you might come on, so having pads for just in case is good. Yup get a training bra. They are great for girls who are just starting to develop.

Hey um so I just started my period April '09, and then I didn't get it for another three months and after that, it was still irregular, but more or less every month. I DID go to my doctor and she said that it was totally normal..but now is the time I should get my period for October..and I know it's normal to skip a month, but on October 5th, I saw just one drop of blood on my underwear so thinking that I had started my period, I wore a pad for the next two days. But no blood ever came. It was just that one drop. Is that normal??!!

Hey babe, yes that is normal. It's most likely dry blood. You just have to wait it out to see if it's over or not.

MOD MOD MOD!!! When i have my period i usually just wear a tampon and a pad then take out the tampon in the middle of the day. I am afraid to go get pads out of my locker (my school is weird, we cant have purses) and I just read that people can smell pads if u dont change them. Do you have any suggestions on how to make it unnoticeable when i go get them out of my locker?

Hey girl! Wear a sweatshirt or something with pockets. Slide you pad into the pocket and head to the bathroom!
