Can people tell I'm on my period?

 

 

OK, OK, menstrual blood has a certain distinct smell. You could catch the occasional funky whiff when changing pads but, trust us, it’s certainly not noticeable to others. As long as you shower regularly and change your pad often, no one should sniff you out.


However, those near and dear to you may notice that you get period-related mood swings or tiredness. So if someone asks if it’s that time of the month, it ain’t the nose that knows.

MOD MOD: I am super nervous about changing my pad at school. I've had my period for 2 years, and know I'm VERY heavy. I wear super Always Infinity pads, and I'm comfortable with them and I know they won't leak. But when I go to the bathroom if there are people in there I turn around and pretend I walked into the wrong place. My BFF and I always get our periods on the same days, except mine is 8 days and her's is 3...but anyways any tips for not being embarrased changing around a TON of girls? Thanks!

 

 

Hey chica! There's no need to be embarrassed. We all go through this! And, no one is thinking any differently of you because you have your period. It's totally normal Smile

If you're still embarrassed though, maybe you could scope out a bathroom that you know isn't usually crowded Smile
