If you’re not bleeding, definitely skip the tampons. You’ll also eliminate the chance of picking up TSS. That should make you feel better. Just think of all the money we just saved you. (Tampons aren’t cheap.)

Mark your calender and when you feel like your going to get it just wear a pad. Thats why I do and it works

Why would anyone want to keep one in every day? Not only is it dangerous but it is also expensive if you are going to do that. And never should you keep it in for a long time because of the chance of TSS.

If you're still irregular and you think your period might come soon, you can always wear a pantyliner. That's much safer and will still help prevent accidents.

Omg it would be hard to get it in too because your flow help make the tampon slide in easier. So if you put it in when you don't have it, it may hurt! lol Comment on my profile!!! <3 DD
Dancing Diva on 4/22/2009 7:21:06 PM
yeah it will increase the chance of someone getting TSS

hoodie_obsessed - thats happend to me before, it means you didnt put it in far enough. read the directions inside the box and try again. trust me, there will be times when your going to need to wear tampons!

I carry around a giant pencilcase [but pencils aren't in it if you know what I mean!]. And if you are afraid people will open it, you're paranoid. I've done this for two years and it hasn't happened.

MOD-Do you usaully start your period around the age your mom started hers?
em813 on 4/13/2009 5:00:45 PM
the exact second you get your period and this is the first time you get one what do you do if you don't have ANYTHING or what if you are shopping wiht your mom or something and you feel something wet and go to the bathroom and discover that you are bleeding?
rachel751 on 4/11/2009 9:21:19 PM
You don't want to wear one everyday, that would be expensive and like they said it could be a problem with TSS. And not to mention it might make you sore down there from having something inside you 24/7.
luckykel on 4/11/2009 4:52:52 PM
Yeah I still dont have mine! I'm 13 so I dont need to worry yet. If you need advice come on my profile and Ill help ! <3 DD

here's a tip to hiding pads or tampons: If you have a pair of boots (Uggs, etc.)you can hide them in there and then take them out when your in the bathroom! No one will notice anything, and it can't fall out! (unless you take your boots off...so don't!) thanks GL! awesome advice! (::::::

**MOD** I have 2 period questions. First, is there any kind of pads I could use for sports because my mom doesn't want me to use tampons? Second, I started developing when I was ten and started getting discharge when I was ten too. So if I could make a good prediction when to get my period, is a good age to expect is 12? Just wondering!

k well i was scared to use a tampon because i didn't know how to use them and so i found this site and it helped me a lot it's called www.beinggirl.com you should try it

Hey katiegirl24, TSS stands for toxic shock sindrome, It is caused by leaving a tampon in too long and it is potencially deadly. The simptoms are, fever, vomoting and dizzyness. Hope this helps Luv hayley
