This summer I went to an overnight camp and I met this boy. There was this camp dance and we danced together. At the end of camp we exchanged phone numbers and have been texting each other a lot. He told me that we should go out, but the only problem is that he lives in a different state!!!! I don't think long distance relationships are such a good idea but I really really like him. Hey girl! Camp crushes are so fun, but you're right, this is the part that sucks. At your age it can be difficult to be in a long distance relationship, especially since you don't have a license. It takes tons of effort, trust, and communication. Ask yourself a couple questions first. Will you get to see him at least once a month? Are you the jealous type? Is he? Do you have a consistent way of talking to each other, like email, IM, or phone? If you are dead-set on dating this guy long distance, be prepared. Know that it will take tons of trust on your part AND his part. Don't do anything you wouldn't want him to be doing, it's only fair. Good luck!

Hey MOD? I have a problem. I have been so lazy all summer long. Yesterday I worked out off and on for about an hour I think. But when I woke up early this morning I didn't see any results at all! I did go to bed late so I think that might be the prob but I still need a sure answer. What's going on here?
Hey girly! I think I already answered your question, but I'll answer it again. You can't just work out one day and then expect to see immediate results. It takes a lot of hard work for weeks and weeks at a time to see results, so if you keep working hard for the next few weeks or so, maybe you will start to see results. But don't expect to see a big difference in just a few days. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. --Sammi

Kimm23- High school is great! I was a freshman last year, so I'll be going onto my second year of HS. Here are some tips that really worked for me: 1. DON'T LET THE UPPER-CLASSMEN GET TO YOU. This is a big one. All high schoolers say that they are going give freshmen a ton of crap, but don't buy into it. Yeah, some of them are jerks, but the most they'll do is try to totally embarrass you. And don't believe them if they say they are going to put you on the bubbler/water fountain either. IDK about your school, but that's a big threat at mine! It's pretty stupid.... I started out terrified of everyone and I ended up making some really amazing friends, all who are older! 2. DON'T ACT LIKE A TOTAL SPAZ A lot of girls at my school walk down the hallway talking and laughing really loud and all it does is make you look immature. Don't draw extra attention to yourself. Try to make friends, but don't go out and about to be a "popular freshman." 3. DON'T TRY TO LOOK 5 YEARS OLDER THAN YOU ARE Keep make-up to a minimum. Remember this: The secret to make-up is to make it look like you're not wearing any. Also, don't wear anything extremly revealing, low cut, or short and skimpy. It doesn't make you look cool and sophisticated. It makes you look like a skank. 4. DON'T GET TOO FRIENDLY WITH SENIOR GUYS Sopomore guys? Great match! Juniors? Pushing it a little. Seniors? That's just asking for trouble. This goes for dating, not just random make-out sessions. DEFINATELY don't do that in HS. 5. REMEMBER THAT YOU'RE NOT THE "TOP DOG" ANYMORE A lot of people-girls escpecially at my school- go around acting like they own the place. It's not cool, it's annoying. And it makes you look stuck-up. 6. BE CONFIDENT If people see you as a scared little freshman, they'll try to take advantage of you. So the first day, walk in with a smile and remember: you belong there just as much as anyone else! 7. BE YOURSELF I'll keep this one simple: Nobody likes a phony. 8. MOD*** k so i just tried tampons for the first time. it kinda hurt to push it in, and i got it in about half way and it didnt seem to want to go any further. is it normal for it to hurt inserting it, and do you have any tips so i can put it in all the way?

Sometimes it's easy to blow up at the person you love the most. I would write your mom a sincere letter expressing everything you want to say. She will appreciate that you took the time to reflect and see that you are genuinely sorry.

I think it's normal to go through mood swings and react unfavorably. I don't think you are ungrateful because you are admitting that your reaction wasn't fair to your mom. The best thing to do is when you're presented with a situation, before reacting automatically, sit back and take a deep breath. Think about the situation before you respond and you will feel better.

Okay 1) Sounds like you have a case of going for the "chase" then getting bored. Once the chase is over the best way to decide if you actually like the guy or if you are just in it for the "chase" is to think about how you would feel if he was dating someone other than you. 2) I'd suggest a goo dvd or something along those lines. 3) Have you tried certain dry? Maybe using that when you go to sleep at night will help you out. 4) Probably what you are seeing is ingrown hairs, they can appear to look like pimples.

It's fine to flirt many girls find themselves attracted to "the bad boy." You probably like him more because he seems like a "bad boy" and a challenge. You can flirt, but don't give in. Boys that act like that have a lot of growing up to do before they learn how to treat girls right.
