I get really bad cramps!

 
Once the aspirin wears off, I’m in such pain. What can I do?

 

For one, ditch the aspirin for ibuprofen. “It’s the best medication for menstrual cramps,” says Ob/Gyn Dr. Kimberly Moran Turner. “Advil, Motrin and Nuprin stop uterine contractions, which cause cramps.”
 
Dr. Turner also says heat is a great way to cure cramp pain. Have you tried hot water bottles or heating pads? Or try new mini-heating pads you can actually wear in public. MOD MOD MOD UGGHHHHH! I'm having the most terrible week. On Monday my period started for the month, then on Tuesday night I ran out of pads and tampons while my mum wasn't home,and I was forced to use foilet paper it leaked EVERYWHERE and stained my nicest pj's and I had the most terrible cramps (I still do now) and I haven't gone to school since Tuesday cause of them. And on top of all this, I'm sick (stomach flu& sore throat) and I have missed so much schoolwork. What can I do to make my cramps less intense and my period less stressful?




Hey girl! I'm so, so sorry your period's been so rough. I can definitely sympathize. We all have those bad months. If you're noticing that this is happening every time you get your period, though, you'll definitely want to consult with your parents and your doctor about ways to lessen the cramping/flooding. Hope you feel better soon!

I also get really bad cramps, and all those things that come along with it...but I can't always swallow pills...so I don't know what to do.. It hurts a lot if I don't take anything, but sometimes I just can't get the pill down! ..Help?

MODMODMOD!
When I'm on my period, I get a horrible pain anytime I have gas or a bowel movement. I don't know why, but it really hurts. Help!

I know how you feel. Twice this year, I had to stay home from school. I tried a warm bath, heating pad, ibuprofen and I was still in so much pain that I couldn't stand or sit. It's horrible when you feel so bad during your periods
