Addicted to porn


I’m 14, and I’ve been looking at porn. I’m really not that kind of person, and I want to stop. But it has gotten kind of addicting in a way. 
 
Dear Porned,
Many teens, especially guys, find themselves intrigued by such material. Your curiosity is normal, but one problem with pornography is that it’s so degrading to women. Respectable women don’t look or act like that. Looking at porn can indeed become addicting, but give yourself some credit: You’ve been able to stop for weeks at a time. Get yourself to sign off, and make plans with friends instead. You might even consider saying to your mom, “I stumbled onto a really gross site, and it’s OK with me if you want to block that stuff.” She’d probably be glad to change the parental controls or move the computer to a common area, no questions asked.

I looked at that stuf for a while, but im only 12... I felt really ashamed, so i broke down and told my mom, but she is the only one that knows. I felt better after i told her, but during the night, i threw up because i felt so bad. 8{

I have been looking at it also, it was from curiosity at first because I heard people talking about it so I wanted to see for myself. Sometimes I get disappointed for looking at it and tell myself I am going to stop but it doesn't seem like I can.

I really like guys and kind of like to look at them naked. I know that isn't right to see guys naked just like its wrong for them to like to see us naked. I wish I could stop.

so is there a way to get myself to stop? I feel bad for doing it but then in class I heard that a lot of girls are getting addicted just like guys. Is that correct that we are looking at it a lot too, I know some of my friends do it?
