My period comes out clumpy. Ew.

 
I get brown clumps in my pad when I get my period, and they freak me out! What are they, and does it mean something’s wrong?

There’s nothing like some brown clumps to remind you that periods are kinda, well, icky! But fortunately, those brown clumps are also perfectly healthy. Phew!
 
Basically, when a girl’s menstrual flow is fast, it’s red. But when it slows down, it becomes brown due to exposure to the air. Plus, periods are all about your uterus cleaning itself out, so you’re also shedding the lining of your uterus. That means clumps and clots are not only OK, they’re expected.

MOD MOD MOD! I am almost fifteen years old and i have not had my period yet. i have had discharge sinse i was about twelve. i am pretty developed and i have hair... im getting very impatient and im starting to think that im never going to start. of course im going to but its taking a really long time. could there be a reason why i havent started yet? how do i know when to start wearing pads to school?




Hey girl, you should keep pads on you at all times. As for your period, you can't control when it starts. Just know you're fine. When it comes, it comes.

Hey girl, you can still go to the bathroom when you have a tampon in.  The tampon goes in a different place, so it's totally fine.  Best, Kristen

ok i feel like so different ive had my period all of four times yet i know exactly what day itll be on its always exactly on the same day every month its scary! and all my friends r like UGh i havent had mine for like 4 months..... is it normal to be like regular afetr only 4 periods?




Hey babe,

You might be regular right now, but you might become more irregular later. If this is normal for you, it might just stay that way. You don't HAVE to be irregular.
