My period comes out clumpy. Ew.

 
I get brown clumps in my pad when I get my period, and they freak me out! What are they, and does it mean something’s wrong?

There’s nothing like some brown clumps to remind you that periods are kinda, well, icky! But fortunately, those brown clumps are also perfectly healthy. Phew!
 
Basically, when a girl’s menstrual flow is fast, it’s red. But when it slows down, it becomes brown due to exposure to the air. Plus, periods are all about your uterus cleaning itself out, so you’re also shedding the lining of your uterus. That means clumps and clots are not only OK, they’re expected.

Yeah, that usually happens after I have my period. It is just brown for a while.

MOD MOD MOD Please help me! Well I have never had my period before but I am getting the usual stuff like discharge, you know ect. anyways well when I looked at my underwear it was brown! It didn't smell like poop or anything and it wasn't sticky what is it? is it normal? plz help I am freaking out!




Hey girl, if you haven't gotten your period yet then I'm not sure what it could be. I think you should talk to your doc, just to make sure everything is okay!

I have been on only one time before but like...i would prefere to use tampons but im only 12 so im not sure if im to young :s my mum said i shoudl wait till im 14 but im almost 13 and i think i would be more comfortable with using tampons?? Do you think I should use tampons also as I dont like blood so with pads when i use te bathroom i can see the blood so with tampons i wont be able to see it until i take it out!!! Do tampons hurt xx sorry for all the questions just sort of freaking out!!!!

MOD MOD MOD!!! HELP ME!!!!! When ever I see blood I go really like dizzy and my hearing goes echoey and my vision sort of fuzzes and it's the same with anyy sort of pain or thing I dont like and now I started my periods when ever i'm on and im changing my pad I go all horrible and last time I was actually sick because I saw blood is there anything I can do to help me get over my problem with blood????

 

Hmmm...just relax and breathe! Everyone goes thru this. If it still doesn't get better, talk to a doc
