My friend is really nice to me when we’re alone. But in a group, she ignores me. Should I stay friends with her?

Dear Ignored,
How about pointing this situation out to her and seeing if things improve? Don’t whine or shout, “You always ignore me at school!” Simply say, “Sometimes I feel ignored by you when we’re in a group,” and hear what she has to say. Meanwhile, seek out other friendships. You can’t force this girl to act friendly, so it won’t hurt to make some new friends.

Oh my gosh! I feel the exact same way. This year has been really tough on me in terms of friendship problems. Thanks for the advice!

Dude listen to that advice! stay friends with her, but tlk to her about it. I say this cuz i no how easy it is to ignore ppl! Ok that sounded rly mean...anywayz, when im in a big group, sumtimes my friends tell me im ignoring them. Its so weird, cuz i dont even realize im doin it! but i always listen n pay more attention.If they nvr tell me im ignoring them, i dont even realize it. If they had jus ditched me, it would leave us both hurt and confused. so tlk 2 ur friend

Me to last year people were so mean to me because i nver talked cause i was so shy and this year i am talkive to some people and other people like preps i feel totally diffrent and i made friends with this girl and we had a promblem with her friend and her friend got jealous anf she started being really mean to me now we only talk in 1 class we have toghter!

this is me for the past 2 years, maybe. i have tried that and we spend about a day together just us to, i know the problen is that she is always with he boyfriend or with her boyfriend her boyfriends friend and his girlfriend which is our friend. i hate it, ive talked to them, but its hard to get new friends in my school cause everyone like grew up together and are like bestfriends and are all in little groups, like its you have to be in a lot of sports to be 'popluar' and i dont really care about that but thats how it works in our school.

that happens to me too...over the summer i would invite this girl to do everything with me and she never invited me to do anything and then when school started she ignored me so i just moved on and am happy with my other friends

I have almost the exact same problem! My bff always ignores me when we're in school. It seems like she's embarrased to talk to me!

I'm going through the same thing..sorta.. we are really close when it is just the two of us but then someone "better" come along and she totally ignores me!
