I have a wart on my hand, what should I do? Is there any way I can get rid of it?

A nice pair of wooly mittens aren’t exactly the perfect accessory to go with your new sundress. But there is no need to be a worry-wart. If you’ve just recently noticed the bump and it’s small, dermatologist Dr. Jerome Litt suggest an over-the-counter medication with a mixture of salicylic acid—Wart-Away, Oclcusal-HP or Dr. Scholl’s Clear Away.

You apply it to the wart on a daily basis for a few weeks. The medicine works better when applied to damp skin so, after you bathe, dry the wart off with a towel before applying. The next day, pumice or file dead skin off the west before you jump in the shower and reapply medicine. If over-the-counter products don’t zap that wart, check with your doctor or a dermatologist.

I had this wart thing on my hand and it kept bleeding in class. The teacher asked about it and i just said it was a cut and i didnt know how i got it;)
is that natural for it to bleed?

Ouch! That sounds pretty painful. There's a possibility that it could be infected but you should check with your doctor. Warts can usually disappear with this freezing process that can be done by a physician, look into it if you want it gone.

If you don't want to get warts, wear sandals or crocs in the locker rooms and don't go bare foot!!

I have warts on my feet. I promise you guys that someday you'll get a wart, everyone I know has before.

But I refuse to get my warts zapped. I hear it hurts. A lot. They use nitrogen something-or-other gas and freeze the wart...EWWW!!

i have plantars warts on well my feet (duh) and they wont go aaway no matter what i do. i put compound w on them and some went away but the big 1s. they rly bother me cuz win im at swim praktis im afraid people will notice so i always hav 2 keep my hands on top of them when i sit down. how can i get them 2 go away? i hate them so much
btw once i piked at them and they bled(ew).

MOD! ok say i have two really small warts on my elbow and i think one on my hand. It is on my ring finger and it just looks like an air bubble but is hard and thick. Do you think it is a wart? and also do you have to have big warts to get them freezed away because all of mine are only the size of maybe the a small bead. also can they go away on their own and does touching it make it worse? thanks, and sorry it is soooo long!

I had a wart once, my doctor told me to put duct-tape on it then at the end of the day remove it. That didn't work so in class I ended up picking at it and it went away.

Hey girl! Warts are bumps that form on your skin. You can get them from bacteria, they are usually on your feet or hands.

I have heard that putting tape on a wart makes it smaller but I'm not sure if it will entirely go away. The best thing to do is make and appointment with the skin doc and have him remove it for good!

I've never had a wart before, but my BFF did, and she totally flipped! It really wasn't a big deal though but you know it's a self concious thing. She used some medicine & I think it cleared up after a while.

i'm having so much trouble finding a bra that fit's me right. I have big ribs but my cup size is small. every time i try on a smaller bra, my ribs r too big and every time i go for a bigger bra the cup size is too big.
are there any places i could get a bra for a girl like me?

Hey girl,

It sounds like the problem isn't you, it's the sizes you're trying. When you find a bra with a cup size that fits you, go up a band size and down a cup size (so a 32A becomes a 34AA, etc.). Those sizes are what's called sister-sizes, and they're almost the same, so the new one should fit you perfectly!

Hey Girl!

Ask your mom to take you to a drug store to get some medicine or ointment. If that doesn't work, try consulting your doctor and they'll probs have a quick fix.

Ok well I just got back from the beach about two days ago and I got super burned (even though I put sunscreen on every hour). Anyway it started to peel and where it's peeled my skin is all discolored and gross. How come it looks like this and is there anything i can put on it to look better?

Hey girl,

When you get a sunburn, your skin is damaged--that's why it doesn't look so great where it's peeling! Try putting on some aloe vera gel...it's super soothing and will help your skin heal. And next time, be more careful with your sunscreen! Put it on at least 20 minutes before you go out in the sun, and make sure you're covered all over.

Ok I have a couple skin colored little lumps right below my lip and three under my nose. Their not realy all that noticeable but they still bother me. I scratched one (ya, I know, bad idea!) and now it's exactly like a zit and reacts to my acne face wash the same way zits do ( it's going away and stings). What are they? Also, are more expensive bras actually better? Because my mom always buys cheap bras, and I'll try on a bunch and think they fit in the store, but 1 week later they ride up my back and come up in the front. If the strips are any looser, the top comes up and doesn't give me any support! I measured and I'm def a b nearly a c (I measure like 10 times). I wear an a cup 34 but it def doesn't fit! I feel like I have a small chest, but I have know idea by looking if a size is insane. What should I do?

MOD! I am almost 12 years old, about 5'3" and I weigh around 130 pounds.Most of my body fat is in my stomach and thighs.I hate swimming, because I look horrible in a swim suit. I eat pretty healthy and excercise every day, but I'm still gaining lots of weight! What should I do?

Hey babes, Your still growing, don't stress about fat. Some fat is normal and you're still young. Keep up the healthy diet, don't worry about how you look in a bathingsuit, no one likes how they look and give yourself at least two days of rest from working out. XO Lori

MOD! our school is having a talent show sometime in june, tryouts are this thursday. i'm doing a singing act with a couple of my besties. the original plan was that we sing just dance, but no offense, they sound horrible and don't even know it. out of the blue they decided to do the hoedown throwdown, yesturday. i really just want to back out. but on the other hand, idk how to! i don't want to cause a fight or anything, and have NO clue what to say to them. plus, you have to have ALOTA talent to get into this thing. anybody can do the hoedown throwdown! i don't want people to laugh at us. please help. thnx!

That's a tough choice--but it sounds like you've already made it. You want to drop out, you just don't know how. You can tell them you got stage fright, or that you just don't like the hoedown throwdown. Or, you can be honest and tell them you don't think you guys (include yourself, don't just say it about them) are good enough. Any way you do it, just be careful to let them down gently (and in a nice way)!

Mod the thing is wen I moiturize in the morning I guess it doesn't soak in or sumthing but like during the spring and wen it's really hot I will sweat I off and during gym there will b like little whitish sweat dropplets on me any ideas on how to make it soak in better and plus I don't use a cheap kind I use origins so it isn't the quality and I don't put much I don't put much on either (thanx again for ur help)

Well, bring some moisturizer with you everywhere and some face wash too! make sure the moisurizer you use does not clog your pores..<3 Sherryn D.
