Make cute envelopes with the kiddies. It's super easy AND a great way to recycle old wrapping paper. They can send notes to their 'rents or pen pals!
1. Unglue a regular envelope, and trace its shape on wrapping paper.
2. Cut out the tracing.
3. Using the original envelope as a guide, fold and tape wrapping paper into an envelope shape, leaving a slot at the top.
4. Slide letter into the slot.
5. Fold and tape the top part down.
6. Address and mail.

I'm totally doing this with unicorn wrapping paper and sending it to my cousin on Christmas. How awesome would that be?
