I have dark hair on my stomach, but I dont want to shave it.

 
Body hair is totally normal. But, for some girls, it’s totally unwanted. Definitely don’t shave! Stomach stubble is the worst.
 
Try hair-bleaching creams, like Jolene, or use a special depilatory for sensitive areas (bikini formulas work).
 
For longer-lasting solutions, you can get your belly waxed or electrolysized at a salon. But, both methods are costly and time-consuming.

I have lots of hair on my arms, but my mom said that if I shave there, it'll grow back really weird and she won't let me do it. What should I do?

So, I have hair on my back and stomach and shoulders and I'm going to join the swim team soon and we're probably going to take pictures in our bathing suits and we're going to practice together, too. What do I do? And what about my hair 'down there'? And is waxing easier than shaving for thighs? Because whenever I shave my thighs and I get goosebumps a lot and then my thighs hurt. What do I do about that?

For the hair on your stomach-- i would recommend waxing if that's a possibility. If you have very corse hair, it can grow back as ingrowns if you shave. For your thighs-- I would keep shaving. To avoid goose bumps, be certain to shower with warm water. You can always try waxing out though if you are curious.

MODMODMODMOD ! i use nair to shave my legs an just last week i shaved my legs and the hair is growing already. i have hair in all weird types of places though, eww!!!!!! can i shavee them !!!?




Hey girl!

Leg hair usually grows pretty fast, so it's totally normal to have to shave it once a week. If you're uncomfortable with your hair in other places, you can shave it, just make sure to be careful! Waxing is also an option, depending if your mom (and you!) are cool with it.

i want to try one but my mom says that when she started getting grossed by her body hair, when she tried depilatory creams, they all smelled so bad that they put her off

NOPE, not all hair removal creams smell totally yucky! None of them smell great, but there are certain ones to avoid if you're worried about the smell. Sally Hansen and Nair, for example, smell strong and pretty bad. Personally, I think Veet is the least stinky of them all - you'll get used to the slight odor it has and it makes you legs silky smooth. (But with that said, I also prefer shaving way more!)

Mod I have a question. My problem is that when I first started to shave my legs I shaved my stomach a couple times too. I absolutely hate myself for doing that because its darker now, is there anything i can do?

MOD!MOD! Hi! I really need help on something. Next week is the annual eighth grade pool party and I want to wear a bikini but I have very noticeable belly hair. I know shaving is bad, but bleaching dosent work for me and I hear waxing hurts. Any advice?

 

Hey missy, try nair. All you have to do is rub it on your tummy, wait a few minutes and the hair will come right off. Nair is just like lotion, it doesn't burn and glides on smooth and easy. Smile

Hey babe, don't shave it because it will grow back darker and thicker than it was before, but try waxing it or bleaching it.

I have that problem, actually the hair is not that dark. but it's still a little noticeable. I shaved it off twice 'cause i was bored. =P i didn't get any bumps but im not gonna do it again just in case.

At a recent sleepover we were talking about shaving and doing our legs and our entire bikini area and one of the girls said she couldnt because she had some hair on her lower stomach and felt to would look very weird if she shaved her 'down there' area and didnt do her lower stomach. None of us knew what to say. Do you know what I should tell her, do I just tell her not to shave down there and leave it?

Hey girl! Try explaining to your mom that you have this line of dark hair on your back and stomach and it's something that makes you really self-conscious - especially during bathing suit season. Tell her that this is something that makes you uncomfortable and you really want to feel confident. Chances are, she's struggled with a similar issue and can relate. I would suggest waxing or bleaching it. I'm not an expert on bleaching so I would suggest talking to someone at your local hair salon about your issue.

if you have dark hair on your upper lip you can go to a salon and get it waxed. it hurts but you get used to it and it takes quite a while to grow back. and yes if you get it waxed it will mist likely come back but sometimes some of the hair doesn't grow back! thats what i do cause I have the same problem!

Hey girl, it depends on where you get it done and the person. If it severe it might grow back and it might not. I can't tell you what will happen, but if you consult a professional when you go to get it removed he/she will let you know. <3 Jeannie
