Why does my hair smell after the pool?

 
If your hair smells like bleach, blame the pool. Chlorine wreaks havoc on hair. The cortex (inner layer) of your hair is protected by the cuticle (outer layer). Further, a natural oily substance from the scalp, called sebum, shields the strands. Chlorine sucks sebum out of the hair, causing split ends and smelly strands.

Wear a swim cap to keep water away from your tresses. Even better, put conditioner on your hair underneath the cap. Also, use special swimmers’ shampoo and conditioner (like UltraSwim) as soon as you get out of the pool, advises Dr. Donnica Moore, president of DrDonnica.com. Soon, you’ll be swimming circles around scalp stench.

I'm gonna be in a wedding in a few weeks and the bride said that I could choose what I want. I have red hair and I'd like to wear it up. Any ideas?




You could do a really fun up-do, and maybe even put a fun flower in your hair! Flip through magazines, and check out some hairstyles you like.  If you see a picture, rip it out, and show the hairstylist!  It makes their life a lot easier if they have an example!

Ok, my hair is SUPER curly, i hate it. If I don't take a shower for only 1 day, I get a huge knot in the back of my head. My family is having problems with money because we have to get a new car so I can't afford expensive products. Help?

 

Hey girlie, try putting your hair up in a bun or a ponytail so that it won't get as knotty. Another option would be straightening it, but if you don't already have a straightener that could be pricy. You could buy a cheaper one from Target or Walmart for around $15.

Hey girly, during gym you could pin it up and take it down after class. If you do that, it will be out of your way while you're running and it won't get sweated out quite as much.
