Redo your room: Let there be light!

 
Summer’s a great time to redo your room. Before you start from zero, remember that a couple small changes can make you, um, see things in a new light. Then switch around some furniture, pop up a couple cute new snaps in some frames and, viola! A new room that cost you nearly nothin’!

I want to redo my room but my parents wont let me paint my white walls or get new furniture. The queen bed in my room takes up a lot of space.They say I can paint over my dark-wood brown furniture. I'm really confused.Thanks in advance!




Hey girl,

Since you can't paint the walls but can paint the furniture, use the white walls as a solid background and paint the furniture in bright, funky colors. Paint your bedframe one color, your desk another, and your dresser a different one! You can even use stencils to paint on flowers or hearts. It'll make your room so bright and colorful! x0x0

My room is basically an eclectic theme, but it's starting to look more thrown together. I can't get new furniture, but I can do almost anything else I need. How can I make my room look eclectic, not disorganized?
