i will def bring these things to camp! im really nervous about camp because it's a sleepaway camp that i've nvr been to before. im going because basically my whole school is going to my old camp and i want to try something different, u no? so either this knew camp is going to be a great and fun experience OR it will compltely and utterly SUCK.

Hey babe, the best thing to do is to pack once, take everything out, and put back half! Just a pairs of shorts and jeans, some tanks and tees, a jacket, flip-flops, tennis shoes and sandals and you're set!

so i am going to camp tomorrow which i am really excited about there is just one problem...I have been going with this one girl for a few summers now but our friendship just kinda faded away this year so i decided to go with another friend but my parents saw my old friends mom and she said that girl had asked to be in my cabin....if she ends up in my cabin it will be really akward so how should i act around her??...and then if she is not in my cabin how do i explain i didnt ask to be with her?? Hey girl! Ultimately, it's the adults at the camp that make the decisions as to who is in what cabin. If your friend is upset that you two aren't together, try explaining to her that it was the adults that made that decision and you had no say in it. If you two are together, the best thing you can do is to be normal. The more awkward you feel, the more awkward it will be for both of you. If you pretend like things are totally normal and relaxed, then that's how it will be.

I am only going to camp for a week. I like going and then I like not going. I am also headed to the beach to stay with my friend and her family and that is what I am really looking forward to. There are always a lot of boys when we go there.

Okay, so mid-July I have 2 week long dance team camp. On the last day of camp we do this high ropes thing where we have to climb and jump off of a 35ft pole! Yes we'll be in a harness, but I'm extremely afraid of heights! I'm afraid I'll have like a panic attack, thats how bad it is! Do you have any advice??? Just wondering, have you ever done anything like this or faced a major fear??? Any advice even if you haven't????

Hey girl! It sounds like that this is the reason why your camp has the girls do this ropes course - as a way of conquering a major fear. You could try talking to the adults at your camp about your fear of having a panic attack while you're up there. They will probably still have you do it, but they'll be able to help you out and provide more emotional support for you. It's also good that the adults know about your fear 'cause they'll only be able to help you out with that info. I also have a feeling that as terrified as you are, you are gonna feel SO amazing and proud of yourself after you do it! That rush that you'll get by conquering a fear will make everything you're going through now so worth it! Good luck!!

I am going to be a leader in training for two weeks at a summer camp in about a week. My dad is so excited cuz he went there when he was my age and it is like his second home. I have never been; only seen it. I am so scared that I won't make friends, that I'll get homesick, etc. I don't know what to do, and I can't not go because my dad will be upset and so will my mom because at this point it's only a 50% refund. I'm scared...almost to the point where I'm crying. Please help!!!

Hey girl! Everyone is nervous before going to camp for the first time - you're not the only one! Chances are, the first couple of days will be tough because no one knows each other and you just said goodbye to your parents, but I promise you that each day will get easier and easier. At summer camp, it's almost impossible not to make friends! Everyone at the camp will be spending so much time together and doing activities together that it's almost impossible to not make friends. About being homesick, try bringing a couple pics of your fam from home - you can look at the pics whenever you're feeling a little homesick. You might be homesick in the beginning, but as I said, each day will get easier and easier!

I need some fashion advice. I am shopping online at Delia's. I love colored skinny jeans! I am stuck though between four colors. Out of the four which do you like best in your opinion: Red, yellow, dark green, or very dark purple??? Also, what shirts could you wear with these colors?

Hey babes, I have to say I love purple and a dark purple can go with pretty much any black or white shirt. I think maybe you should write down a few options with each color, the color makes the outfit look funky but if you get a darker color you can still use it in other looks. XO Lori

I'm a really big fan of the chi products, but they're kind of expensive. It won't be perfectly straight, but blow drying your hair straight can help. If you decide to go for a flat iron the ceramic ones are usually the best.
