Feel Bad Food

 
I have a problem: I can't stop eating junk food lately. I've been really sad and lonely and I just keep eating. I try to convince myself that I didn't eat that much, but before I go to bed, I remember how much I really ate and I feel bad.

Punishing a large bag of potato chips doesn't erase the lonely feelings crawling inside of you and neither does convincing yourself that food is your friend. It may be tempting to eat every snack in your fridge every time you feel blue, but it only makes you feel good for a moment, not forever.
  
This habit is not only unhealthy but it promises you extra pounds. Food is not the answer—it's a crutch for something more serious. Is there a reason why you feel sad and lonely? Are you dealing with any relationship, family or school problems? The fact that you eat every time you feel sad means that this problem digs deeper. Try talking to your parents about this problem and/or see a guidance counselor that you trust.

When you get to the root of the problem, you’ll realize why you reach out to food for comfort. The first step to fixing any problem is to admit that you have one and that tends to be the hardest step. Good luck!

I really need help,idk whats wrong with me but this is what's happening, I feel really bloated but I don't look fat at all, my back aches so I guess that's also making my boobs hurt too, I'm craving like junk food one minute then friut the next! junk food.. it gets to all of us one time or another. I've been through the same thing that you have. and don't worry! you'll get back to your normal self. just set out some goals. and stick to them. begin to excersise more adn have a little something after for a prize for finishing. if you only eat a little bit of it, you won't feel as bad. look at the serving sizes and stick to them. wants some chips? don't take the whole bag with you to the couch. just take out the serving size amount and put them into a bowl. once your done eating them, you should feel like you ate more then you really did, because the bowl will be completley empty. but you won't have to worry about you piggin out. just stick to a plan and you'll be set for the summer and back to school! good luck to ya.

MOD! i got a haircut a couple months ago and they screwed up my hair! my heir is naturally curly and thick and now i have short hair so whenevr i just wet it and wear it, my hair gets so frizzy and horrible.....people make fun of me...it looks like i have an afro. i dont know what to do to make it look good. please help!!!!!!!!!!

Try a little anti-frizz shampoo and serum it works wonders! Then try wearing your hair in bigger curls.

MOD! I have a case of mild acne, but it is getting worse. I wash my face morning and night, and put moisturizer on, but I still have the acne. Is there anyway that I can at least reduce the amount of acne I have?

um i new to this site so I dont know what MOD means!!!!! Can some 1 help me figure out this site???? PLease?? Oh and I recently went through a relationship problem with one of my friends. She gets mad at me 4 the sillyest things and the smallest things! She ended the relationship and was so mad she deleted my number. So now she is trying to text me through my other friends...
she says things like: Oh I dont know why you are mad at me. I dont know why we aent friends. And my parents miss you.... So i dont know what to do. And im kinda depressed... I think about her in small ways everyday. I hear her fav song, I see a shirt on someone that she has, I have a stuffed animal she gave me ( when we were friends )...etc. What do i do????????

MODS!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU for posting an arcticle like this. So many girls go through this and its heartbreaking! I went through this last summer when my 'friends' kicked me out of there group and sent hate mail and calls. all that stress caused me to gain 10 pounds from overeating. this summer ive been a lot healthier and lost 7 pounds!!!! im 5' 4" and a healthy weight of 115 pounds!! i see myself with a healthy body image, is that normal? most of the girls i know are always saying how fat they are when theyre skinny, but i can say i am healthy. question again: is it normal i have a healthy body image, or just my brain illuding itself? thankx much Smile -snowgirl

 

Soooo normal and so lucky!  I'm so proud of you for calling it a "healthy" body instead of a "skinny" one because that is exactly what you are!  Your goal shouldn't be to be skinny but only to stay healthy and happy inside!  Congrats again on the fantastic attitude sistah!

i can relate to you girl. last year a group of girls decided to kick me out of the group and send hateful texts and prank calls during the summer. they were my BFFs for the whole year and i felt so rejected, like i was a failure. that summer i gained more than 10 pounds and had my real friends back (not that group). only 2 people from that group backed me up, only TWO. dont let food be your 'solution'. find new friends, and make new memories. this summer i have been healthier and ended up losing 7 pounds, and feel great. Smile again: food is NOT the answer, if you have friend problems, find new ones or resolve the conflict. if its family issues, talk it out with them or ignore them. the mods and girls are here for you...

I need help I have been trying to lose weight and it hasn't been working. Whenever I eat healthy during the day, at dinner I eat all my portions and some of the rest. My family grills me and I want to like hurt myself because I'm so fat.




Hey babe, don't put so much pressure on yourself! Losing weight is hard and takes a lot of time so don't expect results immediately. Talk to your doc about a nutrition and work-out plan but now, make sure there are plenty of healthy snacks to munch on at night like fruit and veggies. Hang in there!

i do this all of the time now too. i was doing so great on exercising 4 or 5 times a week and eating wicked healthy, but then summer rolled around, and im stuck at home all day with nothing to do. so i pig out constantly, and im way to lazy to workout. ugh! i dont know what to do. Frown

I've been working on eating healthier and exercising (and doing a fab job, if I do say so myself!), but I'm having trouble with craving sweets. I have a sweet tooth, unfortunately, and I don't know how to control it. Luckily, I haven't given in yet... any suggestions?

Actually the best way to control cravings is to give in! Indulge just a little bit and you won't be tempted to binge later. set aside one day every few week where you can have on small sweet thing and it'll give you something to look forward to and make your cravings easier.

Okay, so in the summer, I have nothing to do. All the summer programs are to young for me and my parents go to work and my brother (who's almost 7) goes to the summer programs. So I'mstuck at home alone. I envite my friends over but most of them need a ride over to my house and my parents are to busy to give them a ride. So most of the time I'm home alone and all I do is eat junk food and watch TV. It's REALLY unhealthy and I need to keep my strenght because I'm taking a break from gymnastics over the summer and I know I'll be out of shape when I come back in the fall. Any ideas or advice for me to stay healthy and bust my bordom?








Hey there!  Get out and exercise.  With the perfect weather, you can go for a run or walk to help stay in shape.  Try seeing if a summer gymnastics camp could work out for you.   While you're at home, don't just be a couch potato!  Do something crafty, exercise, read a book, do whatever!  Best, Kristen

hey guys i have an awesome make-up how to
how to do a smokey eye:
1.apply liner to upper and lower lash lines
2.apply a white shadow all over eye from lash line to brow
3.put a light grey on from crease to brow
4.blend a charcoal black into crease
5.use 2 coats of mascara on ur upper lashes
6.warm up ur face by putting blushonto the apples of your cheeks
7.finish it off with a pink gloss on ur lips

viola!! u look gorgeous. this look can go anywhere elegant enough for a date, and simple enough to go to wal-mart(u need 2 look pretty there 2 who knows who'll u run into). for more beauty advice check out a profile, give me a comment and i will sure respond!!!

*mod* i have gained alot of wieght im 5'7 and 170! i know its not normal but i hate when the rents make me get up and excerise like riding my bike five miles or walking two miles is there any excercise that i wont dread but still shed pounds?..also when i eat dinner or anything at night i wake up at like 4am super naushes (or however you spell it) and sick is this normal? please help!

 

Why not find a hobby or sport where you can shed the lbs and have fun at the same time?  Try out a simple sport like tennis or soccer!  Also the nausia may come from eating too much food late at night!  Try cutting yourself off at an early time like 8 or 9 to avoid the tummy aches!

I have the same problem! It just got really bad after this guy who was my BGF (who i have also liked since we met) stopped talking to me after my BFF told him I liked him! So I have to questions:

1) How do I get rid of all these extra pounds - I have 2 types of spina bifida and its really hard for me to excersize without hurting myself!

I'm feeling the same way too!... My friends are all gone for the summer, so I've been bored to death and don't really have anything better to do. Whenever you feel like you should be munching on something, chew gum! It'll keep your mouth busy so you won't be thinking so much about other foods.

Lately I've been feeling all bumbed out too. I tried talking to my sister for the billionth time. But everytime I talk with her, we always argue, and disagree.
For my parents, they're never listening. They don't seem to want to know and care. Plus my auntie moved back into the house, my dad puts all the attention on her. I don't really liked her attitude though.
I feel lonley and sad. There is no one I could talk to. I tried journaling but it don't work. Any tips on how to feel cheered up again?

Hey girl! Try thinking of the things in your life that make you happy. Do you love to read? Hang out with friends? Do a sport? Play an instrument? Whatever it is that you love, make sure to keep it up if you haven't been necessarily doing it lately. Just do whatever makes you the happiest! I would also suggest surrounding yourself with people who make you happy, so ask some of your besties over to chill or go out one night.

Hey girl! The best way to determine if you're not the correct weight for your size is to calculate your BMI (body mass index). If your BMI is less than 18, then you would be considered underweight for your size, and would probably want to consume more fat.

I used to have the same problem!!! A little over a year ago, I got seriously depressed b/c my friends weren't sincere and my family was having some major issues. I thought that by filling up my depression with tasty foods I would feel better. It lasted about 6 months and during that time I also got my period. Being new with my period and depressed I didn't wanna exercise, the only time I would do that was during basketball season. At that point I was suicidal and nobody could tell. I hid my pain and only cried at night which lost me hours of crucial sleep. I got out of shape and gained about 25 pounds and only 2 inches of height. I was 125 and 5'4 now after i got through my stage of depression I'm 5'7 and 150 pounds. I'm still overweight but most of it is good and while I still have a long path ahead of me and a lot of tummy to get rid of, I'm looking forward to a promising career in politics or basketball. All you have to do is find a reason to live, love, and laugh; then your set!!!! Good luck!!!! Brittney

so i got sunburnt really bad the other day because i had a 4 hour swim meet outdoors then tennis and after water polo and then synchronized swimming. My lips got burnt too but i don't really have any good lip balms. What is one that will protect mine from the sun but still smell good?
