Great Gloss

As for your lips, look for a gloss that’s got color on one side and a sealer on the other. After you apply, let the gloss dry (don’t smush you lips together). Then, brush on a layer of the top coat. Toss it in your purse for post-lunch touch-ups.

Prep With a Primer

To avoid eyeshadow that evaporates, prep your lids with a primer. This will help keep shadow in place for hours.

To make your mani last longer (‘cause, um, you def CAN’T redo your nails in English), slick on a base coat before you paint your nails. It’ll keep your polish from chipping, big time.

Hey girl! Try going to target or cvs... companies like cover girl and N.Y.C. are fairly inexpensive and have everything from eyeliner to concealer and mascara.

Hey Girl, If you have fair skin, a peach-toned blush is perf for the fall! Want to switch it up? Try light shades of pink. Look for a blush that has more than one color so you can mix to find the right combo for your skin tone! Remember, less is more!

Hey chica, a cute dress undernaeth it with some flats would look cute. A pair of jeans and converse or flats and a cute tee would look stylish too. Just pair different things from your closet with it and see what looks best.

Hey chicky, the trick to keeping your hair tame is putting it into a style. You could pin it up, secure it with a headband or throw it into a ponytail.

Hey girl! Just try lining it really darkly on the rim of your bottom lid. You can smudge with a q-tip to get it really dark.

Hey girl! There are tons of anti-frizz serums that you can try out. Also, try using conditioner to keep your hair super moisturized. You can sweep up your hair (leave the bangs down) into a messy bun or pony. Put on a cute headband or pretty hairclip for an adorable do! I thought it was water proof, but every moring i put it on and it dries and then i have to walk up a hill to get to my bus stop. But i always tear up on the walk up and during school. How can i find a mascara that will stick or stop tearing up, cuz it's making me look like i just saw someone close to me die.

Hey girly, you could always head to the salon for a color touch up or dye your strands at home. Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have very long, flowing hair, so try wavy and curly styles. To get that look, purchase some volumizing and good conditioning shampoo. Aussie and Head & Shoulders have some great products.

Hey missy, to make your eyes look bigger you'll need some eyeliner and mascara. Just put a thin coat of eyeliner on your top and bottom lids and apply mascara. Maybelline

and CoverGirl have some great volumizing mascara. You could eye buy an eyelash curler, to curl your lashes and then apply mascara to make them look extra extra long.

MOD! What is good makeup shades for a medium- dark skinned girl who doesnt want to look to old (so not like dark reds and purples). So just ideas for eyeshadow, lip gloss/ lipstick, and blush shades. P.S. Instead of the more natural look that i wear on a daily basis, this is stuff i have to wear on stage for performances and plays (stage makeup) so it has to be stuff to wear at night. Thank You!

Hey girl! For eyes, try a smokey eye. Varying shades of grey going from darkest at the eyelash line to lightest by the brow will give you a rockin' look. For your lips, experiment with some darker, bolder shades. If you can pull of a pretty plum or dark red, go for it! As for blush, your natural shade should be good because you don't want it to look too fakey! Best, Kristen

yeah i have the gloss but after it dries it feels weird to me... it's all dry and you can't really move your lips so i don't use it a lot but that's just my opinion maybe you guys are used to that haha

I wear eyeliner on my top and bottom lid. But, by the end of the school day it appears to come off and leave a little black below where I applied. I've tried waterproof, smudge free, and liquid liners, but it still keeps happening!

Hey girl,

I don't wear foundation but from what I've heard, it'll come off just from use, when your skin starts sweating a li'l. If you feel like you need foundation, then try some designed for oily skin (even if you don't have it). But otherwise, there's really no need to wear it. I love that you're goin' for the natural look, and foundation can sometimes look cakey if you're not careful. That being said, blush and powder are super cool. If you'd like it to seem like you're wearing makeup, try some fun eye shadow!

ok so i put my eyeliner on the iner-lining of my eye and it is constantly wearing off leaving big black smudge marks under my eyes. i don't even rub my eyes and it happens it never happend when i put directly on my bottom lid-even when i rubbed my eyes (which i never do and if i do i rub kinda hard) i hate walking around school with big marks under my eyes- help!!!!

The same thing always happens to me too. I suggest that you try a waterproof eyeliner and hopefully that won't have the smudges. Good luck. xoxo kerra

Hey! I love this article, by the way.
Ok so...I go to a private, uniform school: "no makeup." But everyone wears it, and the teachers have all siad, "Just as long as it isn't too much, we dont care." Yeah, they actually said that.
The prob is my mom. she says that if she catches me wearing makeup to school, she'll take it away. i dont' think she cares as much as she says she does, but what are some ways that makeup can be low-key, that kind where it's like "oh, she looks pretty," not "oh, her makeup looks good." I usually do a tiny bit of blush, concealor (on acne that's really too bad to just ignore) mascara and a bit of gloss. does that sound good? oh, and my mom doesn't care if i curl my lashes, so puting on mascara just makes her think i curled em.

Hey girl, I would try getting a curler for your lashes or mascara that advertises itself as one that helps curl lashes. As for make-up, I'd imagine it's done the same way as any other girls'. Close an eyelid and apply your eyeshadow with it closed carefully. With eyeliner, to fully define your eyes, line the upper and lower lid. Use a lighter color (not black) so it won't be too harsh. To bring out your features, go for a cat-eye look, making your liner stick out on the end. Hope this helps, girlie, and embrace your natural beauty!

I've heard that too, but I've never tried it. Give it a shot and see what happens. You can always cover them with some cover-up, too!
