Go for your Goals

There’s no avoiding it, it’s time for school again. Instead of wasting time mourning summer, get excited about fall. Make a list of four goals for the new school year. They can be as small as saying hi your crush or as huge as getting straight As. Set goals you want to achieve and pin them up somewhere where you can see them. A great first day is a great start, but if you keep your goals in mind, your whole year is going to be the best ever!

Hey girl,

Try mentioning other girls in the class to him and see how he reacts. Maybe he will pick up on your hints! If that doesn't him get him off your trail you got to be honest with him and tell him you love the way things are and you love him and want to remain friends.

MOD MOD MOD MOD i have these two friends in my group that fight with each other about things we talk about. so when we all get together for like at the pool or at a sleepover they start fighting little by little until it really starts. my friends and i try to help but we always get stuck in the middle. it's especially hard because one of my friends moved away and she was the one that could calm everything down. i'm not sure what is going to happen when school starts. HELP! HELP!

*********MOD!************** Tomorrow is the first day of middle school and I am so nervous! Well first my locker is VERY VERY small and my stuff barely fits. It is smaller then most lockers, plus the boy next to me (i don't know him)keeps leaning on my locker. Next I don't know what supplies I need to take to each class because I didn't write it in my notebooks.Also, I only have Lunch and Science with my BFF, and maybe gym but i am not sure. Next I won't see my crush as often and I don't even know his homeroom! Lastly I am horrible with multiplication, I barely know it while everyone else knows all of it. I am scared the teacher will ask me and I won't know. I am also I little nervous about the locker room. Please tell me you have some advice! Thanks!!

I think you're stressing yourself! Take a deep breath and chill out! Middle school can be totally intimidating but it's also pretty fun! Ask teach for the supplies again so you can be prepared. Maybe you should think about getting a tutor for your multiplication. There's prob some afterschool. Everything will work out girl. Just give it some time!

I know pretty well that I won't fit in because I've met about 99% of the school and they are really rude and snarky. I have been talking to my best friend about waiting outthis year but transfering to her school next year. She lives up in Northern California and attends this awesome Boarding School. I have met a bunch of her friends and think I would actually do well there but I'm slightly afriad of the whole being away from home. Should I apply or should I just stay at my school?

Hey girl! Before doing anything you should wait until school actually starts. You may be worried now, but you could end up making friends and really liking high school. After the first year, if things don't work out, talk to your parents and see what they suggest. But until then, don't worry. You don't know everyone at high school, so you will find friends. Also, every one is starting high school, so every one is nervous. Just be friendly, and things will be fine. Good luck! Kristen

You're going to be okay. Starting tomorrow make sure you stretch everday. Hold the stretch and count to 60, then move on to the other leg or arm.

Start running now, but pace yourself, don't sprint. Each day, try to go 3 minutes longer than the last day till you reach your peak. Hope this helps!

MOD MOD!!!! ok so last year i started doing competitive hip hop and i loved it!!! but the thing is these 2 girls dont seem to like me and my friend. i have known the 2 girls for a while (we weren't that close but we were still friends) anyway im the youngest in my hip hop (we only have 6 people in the group) so anyway my friend is quitting cuz of them and i really LOVE dance but i dont know what else to do!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Hey girl! That is not a good reason to quit if you love dancing. There will always be people who don't like you, but giving up because of them is in a sense, letting them win. Try to convince your friend to keep dancing with you. But if that doesn't work, don't give up on it too! For all you know, they may just be envious of you. You don't have to talk to them, just be nice and dance. That way, you avoid trouble and get to do what you love. Good luck! Kristen

For the first day, I agree that it's best to keep it simple. Highlight one feature of your face (glossy lips or sparkly eyes) and keep the rest understated. Some bronzer and blush to highlight your summer glow sounds fab too! Don't go crazy with the make-up, though! Have a great first day!

Thanks for posting! I have one word for you: Headbands! Headbands are way in right now. There are so many cool ones out there with details like bows or feathers. Try Forever 21 or Wetseal. That would be perfect to add some spice to a boring uniform.

I have an great boyfriend, (Im gonna call him Guy#1). I relized I dont like him that much. My problem is Guy#2. I've had a crush on him for almost 3 years now, and I really like him. A LOT. Hey girl, you'll really become a jerk if you keep dating this guy while you like someone else. You gotta make this clear. End it with #1 if you really like #2 whether or not he (#2) likes you or not. A guy isn't looking for guilt and sympathy in a relationship. You're leading him in the wrong direction. Hey girl, honestly in my opinion, it's not worht dating a guy who doesn't treat you with respect. Having a relationship with a guy who changes his attitude constantly will only make you tired and hurt. I will answer your other questions, but think about it before you ask him to be your BF. With that being said, let's get to your questions. If you wanna show interest, keep up with what you're doing. Obviously if he's talking to you through facebook, you've got his attention. As for the texting that is a HUGE no-no. If you want this guy to be your BF and before the summer ends, you gotta do it on the phone talking or in person. Texting just gives him the chance to possibly ignore your text, think a way out of it, etc. I would definitely tell him to come over. Maybe have a date to the fair and see what he's like in PERSON. You've been communicating with him through other devices for too long. It's time to meet him and tel him how you feel again. <3 Jeannie

MOD-MOD Because of the recession, my mom has been working extra hard these days and I don't want to spend too much money for back to school things & outfits. My mom never hesitates to give me or my sister anything we need, but I also want to help her out. I was looking at alloy's clothes online and I found really cute clothes, and I made a whole outfit and it costs $31 before sales tax..should i go for it? And what are other ways to be able to shop for back to school outfits and not spend a fortune? My second question is: Is it a good idea to buy jeans online, or will they turn out to not be a good size (i was gonna buy cord skinny jeans) Thankyou :]

Hey girl, I think you should definitely go for the outfit! If it's affordable and helping your mom, why not? In order to save, you can also try sales and clearance sections. A lot of people overlook then because they're styles that are retiring, but in reality, they're still so in! As for the jeans, I wouldn't be so sure because sometimes they might not fit as well. <3 Jeannie

Hey girl, that's really creative but I think it might overwhelm him a little bit. How about taking baby steps, and start by saying "Hi" in the halls, and asking him what last night's algebra homework was. Start talking to him gradually, and build up a relationship with him. Maybe once you've become a little closer, you can show him the song, but I think that may be a little too much too soon.

Spring clothes...sundresses, flip-flops, floral prints and sunglasses. Bring 'em on!
