The PERF Spa Party!

I’m going to throw a party tonight. Some of my gal friends are coming over, and we’re planning on doing a spa thing. The prob is I have to buy everything (I already have mani/pedi stuff), and I need to get face masks, but I don’t have that much money.

I was wondering if you had any like homemade mask “recipes.” It would help a LOT thanks!

Hey, here are some ideas for your fab spa night. First there is the sugar scrub. All you need to do is mix sugar with a small amount of water. Scrub on your face (not too hard). This helps smooth your skin and eliminate dead skin cells.

You can also try a guacamole face mask. This requires going to the grocery store and buying avocado and cucumbers. Cut the vegetables into smaller pieces and then blend into a fine mush. Apply directly to the face, saving some slices of cucumbers to put directly on your eyes. This is one of the better masks but make sure none of your friends are allergic to cucumbers. Fun! Invite meeeee!!1 LOL jk i do a simple oatmeal mask. first use a food processor of blender- whatevers on hand and turn oats (not instant please)into a very fine powder boil into a fine mush. Add honey and lemon juice. If you want it to be also exfoliationg when you massage it on, add large grain salt, like kosher salt. Something like that. When mix is a little warmer then room temp, apply to face.

*Bonus Tip!!
Get some med. chilly cucumbers to reduce eye puffiness, plus cucmbers are cool

*Spa snack

Get together water and cucumbers. Boil some water and wait to get cooler put cucumber slices in a coffe strainer and tie with string. Add to the hot water for2-3 minutes. Chill and serve. It may seem gross but it is So good. Check my file and leave a comment on spa tips. I am a master

mod,i just really wanted to tell some tips. ok, i sold my golf cart and got 170 bucks from my dad. and i spent it on make up and a shirt+ a starightener. ok, if u have green eyes, almay makes this ah-mazing eyeshadow eyleliner and mascara that is made to make ur eyes POP! and its awesome! i got all that. then if u have pale-ish skin with blonde hair, covergirl makes this blush that is so pretty! its called tru blend minerals and the color is pure romance. also, a great starightener is this wet to dry one. u can get it at walmart and its around 30 bucks and its great! it eliminates blow drying,and the brand is callled remington. i also got this great lip gloss made by covergirl and its called wet slicks fruit spritzers. and i got this cool brush thats oval shaped and its blue and green and its infused with ions that eleminate frizzy ness.it really works. so thanks for listening to my tips!

Ouch, that's not cool of them! Try our Clear Skin Challenge (http://www.girlslife.com/post/2009/08/05/clear-skin.aspx). It has 4 steps! From personal experience, I suggest staying away from foods like salami that are just plain bad for your skin. Wash your face a couple times a day and in the meantime try cover-up. Best, Miliana

MOD do u hav sallys or another beauty supply place that sells really nice nail polish cuz i got this ail polish on sale that is the china glaze kind in v[idk it just said v on the bottom]and its a really cool kinda like a slightly brownish orange color and it looks really good on warmer skin tones[i hav olive skin and it looks gr8 on me]!!!!i hope u like it!!!

I just started highschool where everyone is basically new to everyone. I want to make friends w/ a few girls by talking during lunch. Shud I invite them all at once or one at a time? Cuz if i get a group i might not be able to get to talk to everyone if one's more shy than the other, right? And how will i hold a group convo if not everone is interested in the same thing? Will I be able to talk to everyone? But i don't wanna wait too long because they might get into a group. I don't know how to make new friends. Any help?

Getting a group together at lunch sounds like a great idea. I'd have them all get together at one time. That way you will be able to have both one on one and group conversations and everyone will get to know each other at the same time. Talk about subjects like sports they play or after school activities, movies they like, boy crushes, etc. You'll be making new friends in no time.

well the thing is we kind of used to go out. (we went and saw one really bad movie and that's it) so since we "broke up" he seems a bit uncomfy seeing me. but i still do want to hang out with him.

Hey babe,

Just go back to how you used to act before. It was only one movie so it should be easy to overlook if you both try. If he still is being awkward you can bring it up directly and say you just want to hang out as friends from now on.

i think there's something going on (something bad) with my friend. she posts these weird things on her profile and won't explain what they mean (even privately), says we aren't allowed to come over to her house and has been a bit MIA all summer. but she's not really a "let's have a serious talk" person, she's more of a "so after my uncle jumped in a tub of jello..." person. i want to ask her what's up cause i'm a bit concerned but she's not a person who can be serious.

I think you should call him and hang out! The more time you spend with him, the clearer your feelings about him will get. Try to image dating him and if it seems like something you want, you might have a crush on him. But you don't have to figure everything out right away!

If your parents say you can't and have given you reasons, I think you have to respect their decision on this one. You can't exactly have one without their permission, after all, since it's their house. You can do a spa afternoon though and still have plenty of fun.
