I have a number of things to talk about on the VMAs. First of all, WHAT THE H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS WAS KANYE THINKING? seriously, what did Taylor ever do to him? But I was so happy with what Beyonce did 4 Tay. Good for u, B. I heard that Katy tweeted "F YOU KANYE! It's like u stepped on a kitten!" Second, did you see P!nk's performance? It was awesome! My mom asked why nobody talked about her performance, and I said, "That's because Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time." yeah, I was a teeny bit upset that Paramore didn't win Best Rock Video. But at least it was Green Day, my second fave band. Did anyone see what the heck Lady Gaga was wearing? with the outfit she arrived in, the first thought I had was, "I wanna know what the heck half-swallowed Lady Gaga." And then I said she looked like a bunny with her "Paparazzi" performance. Goodnight. OH! In things not relating to the VMAs, I had a dream last night where Jasper Hale was gonna teach me and my BFF how to ride motorcycles. And it was 7:30 at night and we were gonna start at 8. Yeah, my mom picked me up at 7:30. I NEVER GOT TO RIDE A MOTORCYCLE! WITH JASPER! Why mom, WHY?!?!

Hi everyone, here's a short fiction story. It's from my imagination and inspired from the VMAs.

-The VMAs
“Can you believe it?!?” I said. We- small town kids, we were going to the VMAs! No we weren’t winners of some radio contest- we were stars! Well at least Leo, James, and J.T. were. I was just the girlfriend of rock star Leo London. And the friend of James Lo and J.T. Jan. Well actually they changed they’re last names so people wouldn’t find them, but paparazzi are paparazzi.
“You need to chill Lauren,” Leo said. He rolled his eyes, but smiled at me. His arm was around me in the rear facing limo seat. J.T. and Lo were in the opposite one.
“Like she can chill,” Lo said, “she’s been psyched for this since we got that phone call.”
“Yeah, but can you blame her? We never thought we’d be here would we?” We had to agree on that. Up until a year ago, there was no way we thought we’d ever get to come here.
You see, about a year ago, a big record company happened to be at a gig they were playing. And, well, I don’t think I have to explain the rest. Basically they’re famous. And I’m Leo’s girlfriend.
We stopped and the door was opened for us.
“Hey! What up Taylor?” I said as Swift’s smile greeted us as we climbed out of the limo. She must have got here just before us.
“Nothing much, except we’re at the VMAs of course!” We hugged each other then she said, ”I gotta go I think they’re waiting for me on the red carpet.” “Bye!” I called as she disappeared into the crowd of celebs.
Yeah, me and Taylor or pretty goods friends. I also know Katy Perry, Nickelback, Linkin Park, Shinedown, Lady GaGa, and a ton more. I’ve gotten to know a lot of celebrities in the past year. But I’m really close with Taylor.
“Hey guys? You didn’t tell anyone I was a freak did you?” I asked them as the crowd screamed and cameras flashed.
They looked at each other and grinned. “YOU GUYS TOLD GREEN DAY I WAS A FREAK!?!?!” I screamed at them. Which probably wasn’t the best idea right now. Everyone who heard me started whispering. Well at least they weren’t gossiping about my outfit. Unlike most of the girls here, I wasn’t wearing a dress and virtually no makeup on. I was in black jeans and an purple tank. I had on purple flip flops and a gold bracelet. I had black eye shadow and mascara on.
Someone tapped on my shoulder. I turned around and looked up at BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG. “Oh crap,” he said and turned around and ran. Well in the three seconds I was able to see him, he looked really nice.
“I whipped my head back around and said what did you tell them?!?!” I said. Usually people don’t run away from me till after they’ve met me.
“Umm… well we didn’t tell them much, just that you are obsessed with them, that you have a tattoo of BJ’s name, and that you have every album they’ve ever done,” James said smiling. “And you’re trying to ruin my life why?” “Because it was funny, except they actually believed us think you’re a freak now.” “So now BJ, Mike, and Tre think I’m a freak? Great.” I rolled my eyes and continued walking towards the interview dude.
“And here we have the members of White Crow Dieing. And er…Lauren Richmond, Leo’s girlfriend.” Great. He forgot my name. And BJ ran away from me. Not the best start to our first VMA.
“Ah so how does it feel, to be here on the red carpet? Because I mean this is your at the VMAs.” Leo smiled and said,” It’s amazing. Really it is. I mean we never thought we’d be here.” Then he kissed my cheek. “Awww. Isn’t that sweet? So what our you guys wearing?”
“Well I’m in a suit,” J.T. said. Of course. “I’m wearing a shirt and pants. Want details?” Lo said. Why am I not surprised? “I’m wearing an uncomfortable, but nice looking suit,” Leo said. My turn. So would I end up messing this up? “As you can see, I’m wearing a tank and pants.” Well that was good for a change.
“Ok well off to the carpet with you guys…. And girl.” The interview dude smiled. What cheesy person.
We continued walking to the carpet where the paparazzi were snapping photos. I honestly do not like posing for them. I usually just stand there awkwardly. But tonight was different. I smiled at them and posed one of those girly poses. Then I grabbed Leo’s tie and pulled him close to me, I stuck my foot up in the air all girl like, and kissed him. Wow. What I do for the paparazzi. Ha ha. I watch Animal Planet too much.
Well that last move there made them go wild. They started hooting and cheering snapping pictures. I released Leo and we walked down the rest of the carpet. Then we got into Radio City Music Hall where more paparazzi were waiting. And where more stars were. Let’s see, well Taylor was there, 3Oh!3, Katy, Gaga, Eminem, P!nk, All American Rejects, and if I went on, this would take a while. Oh look there was-Tre Cool?!?!?! He wasn’t running either. He was making his way towards us.
“Hey Crows,” he said. “Tre. Hey this is Lauren,” Leo said. Yeah perfect thing to say right now. Tre just looked weirdly at me and said,”Ohh… so where’s your tattoo?”
Great. “Tre, I don’t have a tattoo, they lied to you. They’re just trying to mess with you guys and make me look stupid.” He just kinda frowned and said,” Guess I’ll go tell BJ and Mike.” I’m going to get them for this.
We pushed past paparazzi and got into the stage area. We were here. The VMAs. We sat down where our giant seat cards were. I was on the inside, then Leo, J.T., and James. To my left was some people I didn’t really know, and after that was Green Day. Hmm, too many coincident in one night for my liking.
The host this year was Justin Timberlake. Well, here was the opening act…
About half an hour later, it was my time to shine.
“And now give it up for Lady Gaga and Lauren Richmond!” A round of applause and yells came from the crowd as Gaga and I walked down the stairs. What was she wearing?!?
I had the envelope. I smiled at her she laughed as the fans cheered,” So you’re actually in the video nominated for this, ‘Sneaky Little Devil’?” I nodded,” You bet, and I actually had a really low dress on and I had to bend down in the video. So I told the dresser people to get me a jacket, so naturally they go and buy something three sizes too small.” The crowd laughed and Lady Gaga said,” I hear you, during my performance I had a wedgie.” Everyone laughed. “Ok that was a little too much info. Anyway, here’s this year’s nominees for Best Rock Video.”
I heard the voice announcing and could sense the giant screen doing it’s slideshow thing. Then it stopped and I opened the envelope,” And the winners of the moonman for Best Rock Video is-WHITE CROWS DIEING!” Everyone cheered and “Sneaky Little Devil” came on. Leo, J.T., and Lo came up and I hugged them. I kissed Leo.
I handed them the moonman and the acceptance speech came.
Twenty minutes later it was time to perform. Could we match the amazing performance by Green Day? Did we have the excitement of Lady Gaga? Who knew but we were performing one way or another. I grabbed my guitar from the stage dude and said to the guys, “Break a leg.” J.T. ignored me, Lo laughed, and Leo said,” You too.”
You see I wasn’t technically in the band- I just played some of the songs whenever I happened to come to one of their concerts. John is the actual fourth member of White Crow Dieing.
My guitar is black and purple (imagine that). It doesn’t have any girly sparkles, no pins on/in the strap, just you average black and purple Explorer.
They were on stage now. Leo was talking about something,” Ladies and gentlemen, welcome my girlfriend and pretty much the fifth member of White Crow Dieing- Lauren!” Everyone went wild as I walked on stage. I heard people shouting- I think I even heard someone say “You’re hot!” which was weird, but flattering.
I took the mic from Leo’s hand and said, “ Thanks for letting me come up here.” Then I gave it back and took my place next to J.T.
Then the song began. We were playing “POP!” which is actually a song about goth/rocker/punk/emo people. Halfway through it was time for my special move. Leo, J.T., I went up to the front of the stage and a bunch of fire shot up out of the stage. The crowd ooohed and awed and cheered. Then J.T. and I fell down under the stage on purpose, onto a mat as more fire shot up. I heard the crowd talking and the music stop. I waved over at him. Then we climbed back onto the stage and we started playing again. Everyone screamed and I went over and high fived some of the fans along the edge of the stage. Then I continued playing till the end where we (Leo, J.T., John, and I) fall backward through holes in the stage onto the mats. Then I moved out of the way as Lo left his drum set and came and jumped down into the hole. A pretty awesome performance for us!
But then Leo was raised up onto the stage-and so was I!?!?! I threw my guitar to a guy who was under the stage as we were raised up onto the stage. This was not part of the plan was it?!?!!?
“What’s up New York?!?!” Leo screamed into the mic. Everyone clapped and yelled and went crazy. “As you may or may not know, today is also Lauren’s 16th birthday.” Oh it was?!?! Oh it was. I forgot once we had hit the red carpet. “So I wrote a song for her and I was thinking of playing it.” Screaming girls. “Do you want me to do that?” More screams of yeses. Oh my goodness he wrote a song for me?!?! I was hopelessly confused at that point. I just stood there dumbly till J.T. dragged me over to sit on a stool near Leo at the front of the stage.
Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. OH MY GOSH. He was going to sing to me?!?! Like directly to me!?!?!?! It was too much to comprehend, but I just sat there as I assumed I should do right then.
Then he began to sing…. the rest of the band played… by the end of it I was near tears. I got off the stool and went over and hugged him. Then we kissed. Then we walked off the stage with the crowd going “Awww” and “Rock on!” and what not.
Once we were back stage we went to our changing rooms and I changed into another pair of jeans and an orange top with orange chunky, elevated heels. Then we went back out and listened/watched the rest of the show. What a night that was.
