I'm getting my hair cut into this really short ’do, so I can donate my strands to Loves of Love. How can I keep a close-crop girly? Help!

Just because your locks are shorter, doesn’t mean it can’t be soft and feminine. Here are our tips for getting a gorgeous, cropped cut!

Do your homework.

To make sure you get the right length, clip out pics of your fave short-haired celebs. Right now, Audrey Tautou has a fashion-forward crop, Ashley Greene has an amazing bob and Ginnifer Goodwin is sporting inch-long locks.

Chat with your stylist.

After you show your stylist your pics, ask what she thinks. She’ll be able to give you advice on what’ll look best with your face shape.

Let her that you want to keep it cute, but not boyish.

Good options are a laidback, wavy bob or super-short with funky bangs (like Rihanna or Pink). Layers can give feminine movement and texture to short crops. Be honest about how short you’re willing to go!

Become a stylista.

How you style your hair can have a big impact on the vibe it gives off. If your locks are a little longer, use a curling iron to add tousled waves. Or use hair glue to sculpt punked out styles. A cute headband and a girly frock are perf for when you gotta dress up!

Both styles can be super cute, but it usually depends on how your face is shaped and also the color and type of hair. Side swept bangs totally compliment round shaped faced or square shaped faces. The way the bangs hug the face help compliment the face structure. Blunt bangs look super cute on girls with long face shapes because they help the face look more oval. The best idea is to go to your hairdresser and ask him/her what style they think will look best with your face. They are experts so they will definitely know how to help!

Hey babe! You could embrace the slicked back look, throw on a cute headband and put your hair in a messy bun. Or you could try blotting the back of your neck with a towel, and bring a towel to gym to towel-dry your hair afterwards.

MOD!!!!! I'm friends with this guy at my school, and I like him, but I can't tell if he likes me. The only class I have with him is lunch, and when I'm in front of him or behind him in the lunch line, he talks to me a lot. We also have this this called fresh air at school where we walk around the track and then go in for lunch, and this week he walked with my friends and I around the track (which he's never done before) and sat with us at lunch one day (which he's also nevr done). hey all u curly girlies! there is a way to curl ur hair overnight! look first put your hair in a scrunci wear u want the curls, then spray some Pantene wrap and set lotion onto it, after that wrap your hair around the scrunci. after that just use a pin to secure. Sleep like this. in the morning take the pin out and undo ur hair slowly. use hairspray so they stay in place try it!

Nope, it depends on what you wear with them. short pigtails can make for a really cute punk style look. You can find headbands or clips that aren't plain and are more to your style. You can also try using a gel or a spray to give your hair a lot of body for a really fun look.

it's wayyyyyyy better having a bob! you don't have as much hair, so it's easy to take care of. when u wake up in the morning, all u gotta do is shower, comb it out, and easily style it! it's so mush easier!

I used to have my hair down to my hip... lol... Chopped it all off when I donated it! And I tell you, bob's are WAAAAYYY easier to take care of! I usually get a lob (long bob), and my ends just flip out on their own. Ultra cute with a headband, girly, PLUS... SO easy to take care of! After I get out of the shower I brush my hair once. Done for the day!

However, if you look young in the face (like me) for your age... A lot of times you can look even younger. I'm 14, but everyone mistakes me for a 12 year old because of "my cute hair".

I want some scene hair really badly! I have a round-ish angular ovaly square face (great description, right?) it's mostly oval ish square. I realllly want scene hair, I have shoulder length WAVVVVVY. I want some reeeally choppy layers and sidebangs and I'm not afraid of going that much shorter. the problem is, I have a center part, and I want to get a sidepart, but every time I try it looks funky and is all bumpy instead of falling flat like everyone else's. Also, I'm confused on what kind of cut to get, and how to fix this part issue. thanks so much!

Hey girl, my suggestion is to get a pic of your fave celeb and take it to your hairdresser. She'll know how to tame those locks so that fab side part will work too. It's way cool you want to experiment too so go all out! Hair grows back so take a chance! You're bound to strike that right look for you!

MOD So i have pretty thick hair, shoulder length with eyelength sidebangs. and its also naturally loose waved. my ends are always so blah, especially in the back... I'm looking for some new ways to get my curls tighter and other cute ways to try. any ideas??

Hey girlie! Try a good trim and get a good gel that is made for curls! Those tips should help put a little bounce into your curls!

MOD!! MOD!! I just got the new issue of GL and I was looking through the hairstyles. I found one that I really like. It says that you have to use Velcro curlers. Where do you get them? How long do you have to keep them in for? Do you have to sleep in them? Is there any way to get the same style without buying curlers?

Hey girlie! You can get them from any beauty supply store. And just read the directions for the 411 on how to use them! You could try using a good old curling iron!

I think he's too old for me, plus I've only had one boyfriend. Whenever we around each other though, I catch him looking at me out of the corner of my eye. And he laughs at all my jokes and says I have a good taste in music. We'll be going to the same high school next year, and I might be a snare on drum line, which is what he is! Hey girl! For now, just take it easy and see how things go. Talk to him when you can, but also keep your eyes open for guys that are your age that might be interested in you. You'll be meeting a ton of new guys in high school. If things between your bro's bff ending getting better, then start considering whether or not you want a relationship.
