You miss her friendship, but you can’t believe her behavior!
My best friend and I had been going strong for a year. I also had a GREAT BF for a little less than a year. Well, about a week after my BF dumped me, he went out with my BFF! I told her how hurt I was that she violated the ultimate BFF code-going out with my ex. She ignored me and continued going out with him until he dumped her. She wanted to be friends again, but never apologized.
BFF Fix-it: What your friend did was definitely a major betrayal. It would hurt any girl if her bestie start dating her ex RIGHT after they called it quits. She mighta been being mean, or she might have just been temporarily blinded by a li'l L-O-V-E. Either way, a true would've friend take your feelings into consideration before dating your ex!
Unfortunately, it’s going to be hard to be besties ever again. If this chick wants to be your pal, then she's gonna have to apologize for what she did to you. Tell her you’re willing to consider being friends again, but you need to hear her say that she is sorry. If she does, then accept her apology. There are all different levels of friendship, and you don’t have to be BFFS, but try to forgive her and move on.
