Babysitting Blunders

Mama Mia!

I was starting this first-time gig with this lady i knew. I knew that she was Italian but I didn't realize that that meant the kids were Italian, too. I got there, and I couldn't understand a thing the kids said. One was asleep when I came, so when he woke up, it was just me (a stranger) and his mom was gone. He started screaming and crying in Italian and i couldn't do anything to stop it except sing and rock him.

Later, the mom called me and said what a wonderful job I did and had me babysit again! I came back prepared to try and sound out Italian books when it turned out, the kids could speak English, too.

i have a response to this. the thing is, she has never told me she doesn't want me to babysit. MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD! i need some help. ok so i got this babysitting job set up like 3 weeks ago to babysit for this boy every other friday. the mom sounded really excited and ready to start. the first time, she canceled cuz they were "sick with swine flu" and i said ok. i then found out that my sister's friend who they know babysat that night that they canceled with me cuz they were "sick". they had told her that they had decided not to hire me because of my age and not being able to drive. i got confused and didn't know what to do. i decided to act like i knew nothing. so i was scheduled to work this friday and i sent her an email confirming that i was to work. she sends me back an email saying "no ashlyn. i have to cancel. sorry. have your mom call me sometime." and my sister's friend is scheduled to work tomorrow. i don't know what to do because I am EXTREMELY mad that she hasn't just told me outright that she doesn't want to hire me and keeps "canceling" i dont' understand it. please help!! Hey girly, she probably doesn't want to hurt your feelings. You should tell her that you respect and understand her not wanting you to babysit her kids. Let her know there are no hard feelings. Hey girly, she probably doesn't want to hurt your feelings. You should tell her that you respect and understand her not wanting you to babysit her kids. Let her know there are no hard feelings.

ive been sad about michaels jacksons death and alot of the guys in my class make fun of his music and it makes me upset because he was tortured when he was alive and hes still tortured while hes dead.

Hey babe,

One of the greatest things about Michael Jackson was that he didn't let what other people said bother him. He sang and danced and dressed and lived like he wanted to no matter who was making fun of him. Follow Michael's example and focus on what makes YOU happy. You're never going to agree with everyone and they're allowed to have their own opinions.
