DONATE A BACKPACK TO KIDS IN NEED

Check these out, too...

Got an old backpack that you’ve never even touched (maybe someone gave it to you, but it wasn’t your style or you got a freebie from your soccer league)? Put your packs to good use by donating them to kids in need. A program in New York is collecting new backpacks and school supplies for homeless kids.

Send your unused bags (or any other school supplies) to:
State Assemblyman Daniel O’Donnell
245 West 104th Street
New York, NY 10025

They’ll make sure your backpacks find their way to kids who really need them. The deadline is Sept. 30th, so get them in the mail today!

With crazy amounts of home work, and every other thing to get done, I never have time to work out or relax, so I end up hitting the hay really late. Any advice?

Hey girlie,

That's tough. You need to make sure that you are taking care of yourself and getting enough rest. Try to prioritize your homework and do it during free times at school (homeroom, study hall, lunch). Also, even just going for a walk after school will be a good time to relax AND get some exercise. Make sure that you get a lot of "me" time on the weekends.
