I sleepwalk almost every night. I never remember it, but my mom tells me about it. Sometimes, I do weird things or even fall.

How can I stop?

Rest assured, sleepwalking is common—17 percent of kids do it! You’ll likely outgrow it, and there’s usually no harm. “Often, sleepwalkers do things like turning on a light, getting dressed or using the bathroom,” says Dr. Mary S. Esther, medical director, Sleep Center at SouthPark, Charlotte, N.C. Be sure your house is safe for your nighttime strolls.

But since you fall? “If the sleepwalker could be injured, your doctor can refer you to a sleep specialist,” says Dr. Esther. “Sometimes medications are used to decrease the number of events or their severity. Also, sleepwalking occurs most often if you are sleep-deprived.” So talk to your mom about seeing a doc, and meantime, don’t let it keep you up at night!

Hey girl! How embarrassing! But no worries, I'm sure it happens to more peeps than you think. Try hitting up your doc and talking about the sitch for more info. They will know more about your specific sitch!

Yeah, that's happened to me... IN PUBLIC! I was out with a friend and I fell asleep on this chair. I slept walked up to these older girls (like in their twenties) and asked them where the bathroom was (apparently I needed to go!), but then my dad took over and showed me where the bathroom was! I don't even remember ANY of it let alone going to the bathroom! But don't fret, because this has happened to people in more serious matters. A women slept walked to her car and woke up when driving in the middle of the road (nice timing...), so its okay!

Don't worry about it too much. I did that once, and you basically just stumble around, but you're unconscious. Try to listen to some relaxing (meaning NOT heavy metal) music before you doze off, and if you're comfortable with it, close your door to block you from getting out of your room. Although sometimes you can open it even if you are unconscious. I heard a story on the news once about a boy that fell through his open window (he lived on the 5th floor of an apartment building) while he was sleepwalking and got badly injured, so try to remember to also close your window.

Please pleasepleasepleasepleasePLEASE help! What can I do? I talk in my sleep! My family recently went on a trip and we all stayed in one hotel room. It was embarrassing because I mubled all night long!!! The next morning my mom asked what i was talking about, but i didn't rember anything!!! please help me! I mumble all night long!

Talk to a doc and e can maybe suggest some meds that can help. This is treatable! Best, Miliana

so this coming wknd is my schools 50th anniversary and the 24th annual festival. My mom is letting me wear a lil bit of makeup cuz I've nvr wanted 2 wear it and she said I cud start wearing it when I get in2 7th grade n I'm in 8th. She's letting me wear black liner n mascara this weekend, so here's where my quuestion comes in. Do I put the liner on both lids on the lash line, or the top lash line n nxt 2, not on??

Hey babe,

You don't have to put liner on the bottom lid. It depends on how fierce of a look you want to go for. Since it's your first time wearing liner I would just put it on the top and wear mascara on the top and bottom.

(my hair is pin straight) my hair is shoulder length and is cut a little shorter in the back will the perm still look good? if not what are some other haircuts i could tryout? my hair is really thin and fine and i have an ovalish face.

Hey girl! I already answered your q on an earlier post! Perms will make your hair wavy, but they add tons of chemicals to your hair. Since your hair is straight and fine, try getting a lot of layers to add volume and spunk. You can try using styling mousse to get wavy hair minus the chemicals. Best, Kristen

i have been sick 4 the last 2 weeks with a sinus infection and i got my flu mist about a week ago so dose that have to do with me just staying in bed for the last 2 days

Hey girl! You can try to get a light weight powder foundation that matches your skin tone to brush on your face in the morning. If you put a little on, it may make them less noticeable. Make sure you don't put on too much though-caked on make up never looks good. But even though you may not like your freckles, I'm sure other people think they look cute! Best, Kristen

Hey babe! I have pale skin too, so I know how you feel! Try a brown mascara instead of black, and light eye-shadows that won't be too dark on your skin tone. Also, use the lightest neutral color available for your powder or blush. For lip gloss stick with light pink or pale gloss, and remember you're beautiful with or without make-up!

I used to sleepwalk until about a year and a half ago, but recently i dont. I just remember that once i took of my pants while i was asleep. I believe that fits into the category: changing clothes while sleepwalking. Anyways, whenever i slept walked i complained to my parents that they moved me. I stil have my doubts but i think i really slept walked

I've slept walked twice. Once I just walked around. And another time I literally took a shower. You would think the water would wake me up, and it did, after 10min. Then I thought it was morning and just kept getting ready till I looked at the clock. i felt really dumb. LOL. I haven't done it since. I guess I must have been dreaming about getting ready for school! LOL
