My boyfriend is a little bit overprotective. I thought it was sweet at first, but now I want to strangle him!


He follows me around 24/7 and even accused my best guy friend of flirting with me. My BF is driving me insane!


DAVE: I advise you not to strangle him. But this dude definitely has issues. Tell him you like having him as a BF but that there are other rewarding parts to your life. Explain that you’re not going to give those up to appease him and that he needs to stop trying to control you. If he gets it, you’ll notice an immediate change. If not, dump him pronto.


BILL: Overprotective people are usually coming from a good place—clearly, he cares for you. But if he lacks the self-confidence needed to trust you, have a talk with your “protector.” Explain that you don’t need to be together every minute to have a great relationship. If that doesn’t work, I suggest you refuse to tolerate this wacky behavior. Bye, guy!

Mod- I have this dumb annoying habbit of always talking about myself or bringing a conversation to be about me. It is super hard to get rid of this habbit, what do I do? (I tried rubber band around my wrist and snapping it everytime I do that ,but it doesn't work!)




Hey babe,

Get into a new habit of thinking about what you're going to say for at least five seconds before you say it. It's okay to talk about yourself once in a while but everybody needs to get a turn. You can also try asking more questions. It shows that you're interested in what other people have to say and usually people will ask a few back, then you can have a chance to talk about you.

Allie so I've liked this guy dan for over a year and two months he knows that I like him.He knows and his friends know.Last year I would always look at him and sometimes he would talk about me when i'm right there and it would be to his friends.This year Almost every week he looks at me first.But sometimes i ingore him and like the next week he will look at me first.One of his friends have been looking at me in the morning but idk if that mean anything and i always have feelings that he's talking about me to.Do you think he likes me?Does this mean anything?

If he started treating you differently, I think he might have been a bit surprised by the news. Now that he knows, it's up to him to make a move or not, but since he knows you like him if he's going to he probably will. Be patient and give him time to think about it and if nothing happens you might just have to move on.

Okay there's there's this boy I have a crush on. He lives in my neighborhood. He's an 8th grader, I'm a 7th grader but I go to a diffrent school. We take the same bus. When I was like 4-6 he'd climb on my fence and talk to my brother and me. I don't remember much but now seeing him again more everyday I started to like him. He usually goes to the bus stop down the street but he's gone to my bus stop a few times. 1 time I was there and some1 else, 2nd time I was there and someone else was there and this morning I was there by myself and he came but then some other person came. idk it seems like he's only comes down to my bus stop to see me. He never talks though. and I want to talk to him but i never know what to say I don't know him that well. What do u think of the situation and wat should I do?

Hi Mod, could I please get some help?
There is this kid that is in one of my classes, and I really like him. I think he might like me, but I'm not sure. If I look at him out of the corner of my eye, it always seems like he's looking at me the same way, (he sits in front to the left of me) so then I'll actually turn my head to look at him, and I see him looking at me our of the corner of his eye but then he looks away really quickly.
We talk a little bit, I probably talk to him at least once a day. What's also a plus is that both of us will ask each other for help with such and such, even if it's more convienient to ask a person nearer to us.
I see him in the halls every once and a while and we make eye contact, but I've never said hi. And the other day I saw him in the library, I was on one of the computers, and he glanced over at me a couple of times.
This seems assuring, right? There's a catch though, of course. The other day I found out he's a JUNIOR, just taking a new class for a change. I'm a freshmen, and that's half the reason I don't say hi to him in the halls, because I'll probably seem like some stupid little freshmen girl. I'm not really interested in dating right now, and it's not like my parents would even let me date a junior if I wanted to, I'm just wondering what your views are on this situation.
Any advice?

Hey girl, even if you can't date, there's no reason why you and this guy can't be friends. In high school, smiling or saying 'hi' in the halls isn't just something you do with your crush, it's what you do with all your friends. It's totally acceptable for you to say hi to him -- in fact, you should so you don't give him mixed signals on whether your friends or not. Try talking to him and seeing where things pan out. Love knows no boundaries, but chances are you two could end up being totally great friends. Don't let your inhibitions get in the way of that.

Hey girl! If you like him, then go out with him. Don't worry so much about kissing and don't be in a rush to kiss just because you want to have your first kiss. Hey, I think for a first date it's ok to make that a group date. You should suggest he get some of his friends together and you can get some of your together and go out to a movie or to a pizza place or something.
