It’s easier to have friends than enemies, so it often makes sense to be friendly rather than put up a “Do Not Disturb” sign. But unless this hot-and-cold girl makes it clear that she learned from being fickle, I wouldn’t sign on to being her best bud again.
You’ve proven that you can survive disappointment and make new friends—and that’s great. Let’s just hope she has found out (the hard way) that treating a friend like dirt can backfire. Can you two hang out? Sure. Should you re-invest big-time in someone who hurt you without an apology? Probably not.

It's ok if your nice to her but you don't have to be bff's again. Just be nice to her and be a good person but it probably won't be the same as before now that your trust is gone.

ya im dealing w/ a similar situation. my BFF likes to hang out with the skinny popular girls so she pretty much unofficially ditched me. but now that im friends with some of the popular ppl its like a total flip. she hangs out w/ me now n i dont know if its 4 real. its tough but i know that i have other friends that r probably a better influence anyways. 8-]

That's really stupid behavior from her. I know ppl are always saying u should forgive & forget, and maybe your friend didn't know what she was saying. Maybe you should give it another try.
