At the homecoming football game last night, one of my old crushes walked up to me and my BFF and started talking. We were goofing off, and having a good time. Him and his friend were throwing candy at us, but he gave me some to eat. He hugged me once, and then he tried to hug me again a bunch of other times. It was a little strange, and I did not want to have him do it again, 'cause my mom was on the side of the field and could see us if she turned around.

When I got home, I went on AIM and talked to my BFF. She was talking to him on her cell, and I told her to tell him that i said hi. He wrote back asking why I did not hug him. Then I asked in return, "Why did you want to hug me?" He said, "'Cause I love you."

I wanted to melt right then and there.

Hey girl, its normal to think about your boyfriend alot. Especially if you just started dating! He probably thinks about you all the time too! Is there a reason your parents don't like him? Is he disrespectful or rude?

You could try inviting him over for dinner or for a family event and that could help them bond a little!

ok sorry this is sorta long 2 but anyway there is guy named denis and he likes me alot and i mean ALOT!! and its buggign me alot cause he just doesnt quit! so denis lives right down the street from me and me and my bff nikki were going 2 the park and she was like y dont we invite denis i no he will want 2 go so i called him and he said yes so we all went 2 the park and then on the way back there was this car coming and i yelled, "DENIS MOVE!!!! Hey girl, sounds like this guy has some issues that aren't just about you. My suggestion, girlie? Tell a 'rent what's going on. If this guy is seriously getting hurt on purpose, someone needs to talk to him and watch out for him. Be a good friend to him. Let him know you're flattered he has feelings for you, but you just see him as a friend and it hurts you when he hurts himself. From there, let the 'rents take over. It'll all be okay, but what this Denis guy is doing might be a li'l more (and need a li'l more help) than it seems.

I apologize now because this is VERY long.

Ok I sorta have a problem. There's a guy (Let's call him Joe) that I had never met or spoken to in my life at my school (it's my first year there, 7th grade), and I have 0 classes with him. Once one of my guy friends said "Hey I heard Joe likes you." I'm like "Which one? there's like 5." He's just like idk.
So a few weeks later, I was in the locker bay, and there's a lot of people there, and all of a sudden, it ERUPTS with voices saying "OMG do u like Joe?" "Joe likes you!!!" "Are you and Joe going out??" So I'm like "What the heck?? Who is Joe??". So ANOTHER time I was out on this river feild after lunch, when this guy in one of my classes (let's call him rick) says "Do you like Joe?" So I say "No, I've never met him." So he's all "Well Joe likes you." So as I'm walking away, I hear what I'm quite sure was Joe coming up to rick and saying;
J: "What you say to her?"
R: "I told her the truth."
J: "that I like her?"
R: "Yeah."
J: "WHAT?!"
And that's all I heard.
So another day a bunch of girls are saying "He likes you! "He's cute, you should go for it!" "He used to date Katie, you should go for it!" "He's so sweet!" He walks by, and they are all talking to him and me about it, and I'm just trying to get my books out of my locker and he says to me "Look I don't like you". I just turned back to my locker while the girls are like "WHAT?!" And half of them start questioning him when some are saying to me "Don't worry, he's just shy." "Don't worry, he likes you!" (I'm thinking 'why would I WORRY?! I don't know him!!) But I think he just said that to get them to shut up.
So this goes on for weeks (I'm serious, like 6 weeks!!) and some girls say to me one day "Do you like Joe?" and still I say "No, I don't know him." (because I've never said anything to him once) and they say, "well he's been saying you like him" (the other girl said "He's such an ego maniac", which I say is far from "he's so sweet!") So you can imagine my anger there.
I heard from a friend who tried to clear it up with him that I don't know him, and they had said something like;
"She doesn't know you."
"But she likes me."
"No she, doesn't, she doesn't know you!"
"But she was looking for me" (I had asked like ONE person who he was because I didn't know him!!)
"No she didn't!"
"Ok, fine!"
(I swear, I'm almost finished here)
So sometimes I'd walk by and guys would say "Hey Joe, there's Yolanda!" (That's me) and I'd just keep going. I felt bad for him and mad at him (telling people I like him), and this, like I said, happened for weeks.
This past week, nothing much has been said, but every time he's nearby, I get nervous and a little shaky, even though it's usually swamped with people and he's surrounded with his friends (guys and girls). I think he is cute, and I mean REALLY cute (not "hot", I hate that word), but I don't like him, since I don't know him.
Anyway, each quarter some classes change, and I may end up having to sit by him or do a project with him, but even if I don't, and he like talks to me or something, I wouldn't know what to say, even though I want to be comfortable around him, it's scary!
Also, What if someone brings it up again, what do I do?!
I can't tell if he likes me or not (but it seemed like he did after what he said with Rick), or if he still did after all that.
I'm sorry this is so long, but I just don't know what to do!

Hey girl, I think you have your answer already: you think he's really cute but you just don't know him and so there's no way you can have a crush on him! Sure, if he likes you, give him a chance if he's trying to woo you but don't tell your pals you have a crush on him just yet. i have no clue what to do. there's this guy that i really really like. he's a year older and doesnt go to my school, but we've been bestfriends for 4yrs through summer track. this past summer he started liking me back. he was my first kiss and i really really like him, but im afraid i dont love him. im not allowed to date till im 15, in 1 1/2 years. thing is, theres these two other guys that i like too. but we have more in common. one has been my bestfriend since 1st grade, and he has liked me ever since. i like him and he's nicer and sweeter than the guy i've kissed. the last guy ive known since i was lil but jst started to get to kno him in janurary. He's also a freshman, where as the second guy is 8th, jst like me. the thing is, the third guy adn i are really reallly really good friends. i tell him everything, even more than i tell some of my girl friends! we've talked about me liking him and him liking me, but we've decided not to date until we're older, when we might be able to work things out. the first guy was my first kiss though. im just afraid i dont like him as much as the other two and im afraid if we ever date it wont work out and it will ruin our bond. i have no clue what to do.. help?

Hey girl, try flirting with this guy a bit and hinting you have feelings. See how he reacts. Maybe he's interested. Maybe he's not. Know if he's not it's not the end of the world -- there are SO many guys out there. He may have caught your eye in kindergarden, but you'll meet tons of other people. Okay so I met this boy at a nature camp I went to and I had seen him around school before. So I asked him if he went to challenger and he said yes so then he told me about his past girlfriends and current crushes and things about school that I didn't even know. During camp one of the girls said "he likes you I can tell." It was only wednesday so I was like no way. But then I started liking him. So when I got to school the second day in the caf when he said hi with a sweet smile and a wave I said hi with the same sweet smile and wave but then turned around (bad idea I know that now) He has given me those sweet smiles and said hi in the halls (we have ZILCHE classses together) And only a couple times have we talked and I don't know if I should flirt with this guy because a> I have never had a bf before, and he knows and a couple weeks ago he told me he had a gf and b> I would DIE of embarrasment if I was "rejected" in a sense. I don't know what to talk about around him. I can usually hold up a convo but around him my mind freezes. PLEASE HELP!
P.S. If it helps he is on the xc team and I am in the band.

Hey girl, I say take a chance with the flirting. The idea behind flirting is to not outright say "I like you" but to hint it and let him pick up on it. He'll decide from there how to act. And rejection? I hate to say it, girl, but it's going to be a big part of life. It's better to take the chance though than wonder if anything could have come from it if you had. You never know and there are def some signals that he likes you. As for conversations? Just talk about school in general. You'll find your way. Just give it a chance!
