A few weeks ago, my best friend passed away. She was only 13. I miss her so much. When I first heard, I cried all night. At school, some people cared but didn’t take it too seriously.
It seems everyone has forgotten about her death, but I can’t. How can I feel better and move on with my life?
I’m so sorry about your friend. It’s hard to lose someone you are close to. Don’t expect to feel better right away. Be patient. You are allowed to be sad and miss her—no matter what other people are doing. It’s all part of grieving. Remember all the great stuff you loved about her and all the fun you used to have.
Keep busy and do anything that takes your mind off the hurt—rent funny movies, go jogging, start a scrap book. If you are overwhelmed with pain and sadness, or need help sorting out your feelings, don’t hesitate to make an appointment with a school counselor or therapist. Sometimes just talking to someone can make you feel better.

I can totally understand how you feel! I guy that i had grown up with who was like my brother died the 3rd of September. He was hit by a car and I had to go through all the sadness and visiting the house and everything. I learned that you should apreciate everyday like its your last, always talk with old friends, and love everybody around you. <3 <3life<3

That's really sad,and I'm so sorryIf my BFF died I would probably never see daylight again!But try making new friends.They will never replace your BFF,but it can make you happier.And just try to remember all the good times and that it was a blessing to get to know an awesome girl like her. You'll be OK

omg thats soo sad1 im kinda in a similar sitch. My BFF's mom has cancer and its really bad. im soooo upset cuz her mom is like a second mom to me and i luv her.

I feel so sorry for you. I have no idea what would happen if that happened to me. A somewhat-similar situation happened to a nearby school, where a group of 4 best friends died in a car crash, on the way back from seeing a movie they really wanted to see. I have no idea what I'd do if anyone from my school died. I will be praying for you. Hang in there...
