I get brown clumps on my pad during my period, and it freaks me out!

i use a tampon but lately my period has been lasting longer than usual normally its only 2 days but so far its been a week and im still on it! i told my mom and she said to stop using the tampons because when you take them out it just makes you bleed more so i've been wearing pads but still no stopping! and my friend is going to the doc because hers has been going on for 2 weeks now. she thinks she's sick tho... and idk about me. what do you think about it??

Hey babe,

Most periods last anywhere from four to nine days. Until it's been longer than that you probably don't need to worry. I'm not sure if tampons make that much of a difference but I've never heard that before.

I wear tampons but when i wore a pad te first time i didnt have that. i hate pads because you just sit there in your blood and eek:[] lol

Hey babe,

Probably very soon but it's impossible to tell when for sure. Just carry a pad with you whenever you can and you'll be prepared no matter when it happens.

MOD!!! I started my period the day that i was coming home from vacation. I started the week before school started (4 weeks later). then i started 2 monthes later and i only blead for 4-5 days. Is this normal???

It's totally normal for your period to be really irregular for the first few years. That's nothing to worry about.
