When you first leave your house do a "check list."

Do you have your first aid kit?
Do you have a report card for the child? (A report card is optional, but parents appreciate them)
Do you have your cell phone? (Remember a cell phone when you are babysitting is ONLY for emergency purposes, NOT to chat with your friends)

Do you have a kid kit filled with fun stuff for the kiddies?

Before the parents of the child you are babysitting leave, ask emergency phone numbers, allergies, weight, (if you need to give the child and Benadryl, or other medicine), bedtime, (If you need it), etc.

im going to my first ever "official" babysitting job w/ my twin next Friday and i need tios! i took a babysitting corse and so did my twin last year. we r babysitting 1 girl and she is 9. the babysitting is for 3 hrs. do u kno anything that would work for a 9 yr old that is not to boring and not to kiddish but not to mature and adultish but that she would like?

Honestly shes old enough that you could just ask her what she wants to do. Whenever i babysit my neighbor whos 8 I just ask her what she wants to do. As log as its safe and fun, you should have a blast. Good luck! xoxo kerra
