Sure, American Idol won’t be back until January, but there’s another hot talent search you can follow along with NOW.

Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing (N.B.T) is a 10-week showcase that puts the spotlight on five young unsigned recording artists and provides them with the national broadcast and online exposure they need to jumpstart their budding career.

Each of the five talented teens—and tweens—will shine in the spotlight for two weeks at a time, where they’ll have a single featured on the Radio Disney playlist, a profile segment on Disney Channel (hosted by Sonny With a Chance’s Tiffany Thornton), plus exclusive videos and photos featured on RadioDisney.com among other neat stuff.

Listeners are invited to vote for the artist during his or her two-week showcase, either at RadioDisney.com or by texting “NBT” to DISNEY (347639) (note message & data rates may apply so get your parent's permission first). After all have been featured, there’s one open week of voting from December 2-9 for all musicians. And the stakes are high as the contestant with the most votes at the end scores the opportunity to have their single featured on the upcoming Walt Disney Records' Radio Disney Jams 12 CD. Cool, right?

Meet…Jasmine

Age: 15

This Tennessee native is a Pop/R&B artist who recently performed on the iShine tour. Performing since the age of four, Jasmine put together her first album entitled The Next Me with help from her dad—an album which promotes being a leader, not a follower.

Meet…Josh Golden

Featured: Oct. 7-Oct. 20

Age: 15

This multi-talented teen from Missouri writes all of his own music, has played the guitar since he was 10 and is currently learning to play the drums. His musical style ranges from Pop and Rock to Acoustic and takes inspiration from girls he has had crushes on.

Meet…Gabi Wilson

Featured: Sept. 23-Oct. 6

Age: 12

Hailing from California, Gabi plays four instruments and has even published a book of poetry: "Anything on Earth Poems." She was even invited to perform two songs by her idol, Alicia Keys, at this year’s ASCAP awards, which left Alicia impressed.

Well, I've been listening to NBT for a while, and I think I like Josh, Small Town Big City is awesome. And I like Jasmine's Make A Movie, but the other song they showcase about her is blehhh. And Gabi's songs are catchy,but her voice is a little immature. She's doing a great job for her age though! But Josh looks freaky- he looks like he's 18. And Jasmine is so pretty, and Gabi's a real beauty for her age and cute! kid cute, of course

Okay, me and my mom got in a fight because my room is messy, and I have been really lazy etc. And, she won't let me go to a Halloween Bash tommorow! I REALLY want to go, and I know I shouldn't be so lazy and stuff...how can I convience my mom that I can go?

Hey babe, try your best to clean up and do what you're told but also go the extra mile and do something special, like cooking dinner or doing the laundry. Hopefully, she'll see that you're trying to make it up.

Continuting on my earlier Q....
Just giving her space won't work because she won't let me avoid her and she's in all my classes and today i tried to get space from her , like i sat aways from her on the bus but she came and sat infront of me anyway and she corners me and says "why are you angry" and when i try and explain she tells me im mean to her. So i need another alternative if you have i one.

Hey girl, I know it may be hard, but sometimes silence speaks volumes. Don't be afraid not to answer or end the conversation. Try to arrange to sit with another friend beforehand. Gradually separate yourself from this girl. Let things fade and her get the hint slowly, not abruptly. This girl shouldn't treat you the way she has been. Don't be afraid to step back a bit and don't let her persistence stop you.

One of my friends and i are fighting a lot has led up to this but the main thing is she didn't know why I was angry at her. i told her it was because she kept ditching me for another friend and some other reasons but she won't listen or absorb any of it she irects something back at me! I can't get her to accept she's done something wrong, she just keeps saying how its my fault!
Please Help!

Hey girl, at some point, you've got to step back and ask whether the fight is worth it. Is she really worth keeping as a friend if she's going to be that way? She's not a true blue friend from the sounds of it, so I suggest distancing yourself. Let her miss you and give her time. You both need to cool off a li'l bit, and there's nothing wrong with a break to show you why you worked in the first place.

My opinion- Jasmine is absolutely awful. If thats the best song off of her CD, I don't think I want to hear the rest! Gabi has the best voice out of the bunch, and I think once she gets a little older she'll be really good, but the song was kind of boring. Josh is my favorite right now. He has a decent voice, and his song was catchy.
I don't think I'll actually vote, though.

I think the combination of prints might be a little much - maybe chose one or the other. For your hair, try pulling just the top layer back. It's simple and keeps the hair out of your face while still looking pretty.

MOD! MOD! MOD! MOD! MOD*************************** im applying to boarding school this year. i took the ssat last spring and i got 80s and 90s. my overall average was a 94. i know that that's really good, but my mom said that to get a scholarship, i should try for all 90s. i begged her to let me do a few tutoring sessions and she spent almost $1000 on them! that's a lot for my fam (as i said, i need a scholarship!!) i retook the test and i just got the score back. i did better on the math but on the verbal i did 10 POINTS WORSE!!!!!! (it went from a 97 (that's awesome, it's out of 99) to an 87!) my overall average was EXACTLY THE SAME. i feel horrible that after all of that tutoring, i didn't even improve. i know my mom won't get mad, but i feel sooooo guilty and im really upset... what should i do?

Please don't feel guilty. You should be so proud of yourself for studying so hard and putting in so much effort. You might have done a little worse on the test, but you worked really hard and that shows that you are ambitious and have a good work ethic. Don't give up on yourself. Just remember that even your "bad" scores are better than alot of other kids would get! Good job!
