Glam Ponytail

Fab for girls who love a ponytail, but need to make it work for a fancy dinner!

Start with damp locks. Use a rattail comb to create a way-deep side part (use the outer edge of your eyebrow as a marker). Apply some mousse and blow-dry hair, using a round brush to smooth locks as you go. Be sure to keep your part in place.

Gather strands into a low ponytail and secure with an elastic. Smooth down flyaways with a frizz serum. Viola—totally sleek. An accessorized elastic adds extra sparkle.

Retro Girl Curls

Old-school curls get extra dramatic when you pump up the volume.

Apply a volumizer to damp hair. Blow-dry hair, using a round brush to straighten locks as you go. Once hair is totally, wrap a 2-inch section of hair around a hot roller.

Secure in place with a clip. Repeat, until all of your hair is in rollers. Let them cool. Carefully remove rollers, and loosen curls with your fingers. Use a rattail comb to create a side part. On the side with less hair, use a cute clip to pin locks behind your ear. Hairspray and you’re done.

Easiest-Ever Party Locks

Need a ’do that’ll take two secs and looks fun ‘n’ festive? Hello, shimmery headband!

Part hair to one side. Dab on some shine serum to get locks lustrous.

Pop on a glittery headband and go.

A Bun That’s Tops

Wanna be daring? Try out a tiny top hat—so perf for New Year’s Eve!

Start with dry hair. Backcomb locks, so you get some volume at the crown. Smooth hair back and gather into a low ponytail. Twist into a bun and secure with an elastic.

Clip on a tiny top hat pin to the side of your head (just slightly off center of the top). Finish with hairspray and get ready to make a statement.

Embrace spring! Wear a floral skirt with a simple top and let your hair hang loose, in a carefree and wavy style. As for your zits, just remember to keep washing your face regularly and they will go away naturally. If they're still there or a little red before the dance, dab some concealer on those suckers!

Hey girl! You just have to french braid a tiny section over to the side. It's a little tricky but it def can be done with some practice! Try it out a few times and see if you can get it just right!

hey girl! Try drinking warm drinks like tea with lemon and honey or hot choclate to soothe your throat. If it's really sore, I find icecream also helps. Cough drops can also help. Sometimes, gargling with warm salt water can help too. Get plenty of rest, don't try to talk much, and relax. I hope you feel better soon! Kristen <3

MOD-my big sis and i were lik bffs, and then she began twelfth grade, now she is always talkin on the phone,hanging out at the mall with her new friends,texting or studying. whenever i try to talk to her she says she is preparing for college, when she is just doin her make-up or hair. last night i confronted her of never having time for me, and she called me a snob, said i was just becoming a jeolous brat, and she said she didn't wanna hang out with me because i was having to many personality changes. i really wanna talk this through with her but she is soooo mad and doesn't wanna talk! is this my fault and what should i do????

It's not your fault. Your sis is about to go through a MAJOR life change. She's probably hit a phase where she just wants to hang out with her friends as much as possible before going off to college. She might also be acting 'superior' since she's finally a big, bad senior. I know it's hard, but don't take things too personally. Lay off the subject for a while and give her some space. She'll realize soon enough (especially with the holidays approaching) just how much she misses you.

I always wear my hair down. My mom sometimes blow-dries it. My hair is normally wavy, but when I blow dry it, it becomes srtait. By the way, for cute headbands, j. Crew is a great store.

My friend and I always go trick-or-treating on Halloween together, but this year she told me she couldn't because she was going to another neighborhood with her parents. We go to different schools. Hey chicky , it's best you guys talk about it versus just acting like nothing happened. That way you guys can get over it and move forward instead of always thinking about it and having it ruin your relationship. Ask her why she felt like she had to lie to you and why she didn't want to invite you. This way you'll figure out what made her do this and ways you guys fix things so it won't happen again.

So there's this guy who I've liked for about a year now. The main problem is, we have barely anything in common. He's really sporty and athletic and 'popular' and I just do dance as my sport. I think that whenever you are ready is the right time but don't go over board. I like the idea of ome mascara and plain black eye liner. These are a really good start when you begin to wear make up.

Hey girl, foundation is typically opaque. Your freckles will be covered up by the foundation, but their color won't change. The foundation will just be a layer over top and its color will show.

Hey girl, what works for me is making a to-do. Prioritize what you need to study. Make a plan: what topics will you cover today. For vocabulary, make flashcards. For big tests, see if a friend or parent can ask you questions based off your notes. The key is to take a little bit in each day, not everything the night before a test.

Hey babe, maybe you can make some sort of compromise with them. Suggest coming up with a name and password that you both know so they can check in on you or setting a time limit or something.
