No sign of puberty!

I am already almost 13 and nothing is happening to me! Not even the slightest bud or blossom. Even my friends who are younger than me already have boobs or their periods. My mom got her period when she was 11 and my doctor keeps asking me if there are any changes that I have noticed. I am so self-conscious about my body.

Last year, every girl in my grade thought that growing boobs and stuff was gross and now it's all the rage! Will I ever have a bust or am I going to be a pancake forever?

Hey girl!

I know it can be way tough to be the late bloomer of the bunch. But no worries! A flower that blossoms later still ends up just as gorgeous. I didn't get my period until I was almost 15, and now I look just like all the other curvy gals around.

Delayed Daisy

It's totally normal to feel kinda left out when all your BFFs' bodies are developing. I was a string bean for the longest time, and it wasn't much fun to listen quietly as all my girlies talked about getting their periods, buying bigger bras and getting taller. But what you have keep in mind is that just 'cause it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it never will. You're just taking a li'l longer, and that's completely fine.

Lucky Lily

As much as you hate not being able to relate, count yourself lucky! Periods can be a huge pain—literally. You don't have to deal with wearing uncomfortable pads, having nasty cramps, feeling way bloated, and not being able to swim or wear white whenever you want. Also, since you aren't as chesty, you don't have to worry about looking too revealing. It can be exciting when your bod starts changing, but it can also be a hassle!

Positive Petunia

Even though you're not super curvy yet, it doesn't mean you aren't beautiful. Everyone has at least one trait that is to die for. Get jealous glares for your long legs? Complimented on your awesome abs? Wear tanks because of those toned arms? Flaunt it, girl! That doesn't mean wear skimpy skirts every day, but embrace your body the way it is! You're amazing and you def can still turn heads.

Keep your chin up, don't stress, and let nature run its course. You're gorgeous girl, and your body will develop when its ready.

Girls I know haven't either. They are barely five feet! It's normal you just have to wait. Thats why they say bloom becuase not all flowers bloom at the same time!

Im in 7th grade and i have no butt .
Its too flat and my brother and my friends always make fun of me, everyone tells me to eat certain foods but when i do i only get fatter.i wear jackets over my waist and always try to cover up bc of my low self esteem. is there any trick to get a nice butt? it really stresses me out.

Hey girl, your bod's growing. Some people wish they had no butt, trust me. I'd embrace the body you have and take care of it. Don't go on a junk food spree and don't mind what your friends or bro say. This is your natural beauty and it's gorgeous.

Heyy, I know what u guys mean. Trust me if u havent gotten ur period yet, be happy. It can be a pain sometimes, and ur stuck with it the rest of ur life. All I have to say is dont worry about it, it will come when ur ready, and until then just be urself and forget about it.

hey your actually super lucky i am only 11 and i have my period already and i tell you it's not fun at all and you don't have to go the oh so embarrasing bra shopping if i were you i would just be proud the way i am!! because although i'm more developed than most my age i just look the other way and forget about it it will come when you least expect so just forget about and don't let it rule what time you have left being a kid!!

OK, so this may sound really odd, but my period is so regular it's scary. I got it for the first time this July, on the 24th. The in August it came on the 17th. In September it came on the 16th, in October it came on the 15th. This month (November) it came on the 14th! Is that normal???

MOD!! I turn 15 in a month and I haven't gotten my period! Everyone else I know has gotten it, and I feel like such a freak! I've had discharge for about a year, and I've got plentiful amounts of hair...everywhere. I'm just afraid that I'm going to be one of those women who never get their periods. My sister started when she was 11, and when she was my age she had a C-cup. I barely fit into an A! I'd just like it if you could ease my fears. Thanks a bunch.

hey girl! Every girl is different. I know it can be tough to be the late bloomer ( I didn't get mine until my freshman year of high scholl), it's really not something to stress about. And really, periods can be a total pain...literally. It will come whenever your body's ready, so just be thankful that you don't have to deal with it right now and don't worry about never getting it. I know how you feel, I'm 13 and haven't started my period but think I might soon in the future. Last year I had no sign of it until BAM! everything started to come into place. So, I was worried too. But, everything will start to develop when its your time, but don't sweat it. :}

Hey girl! They usually last about 5-7 days. And, yes, cramps are usually a big part of the pain during that time of the month. There could also be muscle aches and lower back pain! Needless to say, that week is a pretty uncomfortable one!

UGH. My life is sooo compicated. Ok so Im 13 and Ive had discharge for ike 2 years, same goes with the hair. But I have like NO boobs, and my voice hasnt changed, but Im actually quite curvy. And there are women who are 30 or so and have A cups. So I know your probably gonna say itll come soon or later, but what if I end up being one of those girls with no boobs all their life? ;[

Thanks so much for the advice, but I have one other question. My mom took all my mascara & eyeliner and threw it in the garbage. She said I had "Raccoon eyes". I only wore it minimally and want to get it back, especially because I'm going to Hawai'i in 3 days. And my phone was taken by my mom too because i went to the movies and now she thinks i don't need my phone even for Hawai'i. MOD being short runs through the family.It's really embarrasing cos I'm 13 and the shortest in the class even though I'm one of the oldest. Everyone in my family is short that I'm nearly my dad's height. It gets really annoying when people say things about my height without thinking. How can I stop getting made fun of?

Hey girl! I was the shortest one in my class too, but don't worry when everyone gets a little older you will love being short! You'll always be able to wear heels with who ever you date, and guys love feeling like they can protect their short girl-friends. Try to laugh along with their jokes and embrace being short. Think of it as a cute quirk only you have! Soon enough people will stop growing, and everyones heights will start to seem more even!
