Clarifying Acne Wash

Check these out, too...

I’ve tried everything in my quest for clear, gorgeous skin. My face is an odd combination of oily and dry, with deep blemishes rather than abundant pimples. Face washes never seemed to work as I’d like and I never had time to do all three steps in the clear-skin programs.

Eventually, I resorted to facials—which were the worst. They cleared my skin for a couple weeks but the blackheads always came back. Not only that, but they were painful and left my skin red and irritated.

I kept searching and found Arbonne’s Clarifying Wash Acne Medication ($17, arbonne.com), It’s made of natural ingredients such as dandelion leaf, peppermint, and orange peel, and left my skin with that refreshing feel after use. Plus, it’s vegan. I used the clarifying wash for only a week before noticing results, and (knock on wood!) I haven’t had one deep pimple since I have started using it.

Despite all the delightful natural ingredients, the face wash doesn’t smell the best. Plus, it’s a little pricey. But for me, the results were worth it for me!

All this info is great and all, but what skin type do I have? I have super dry zones near the curve around the outside of my nostrils, my chin and forehead are greasy, it's weird! I also want some skin products for christmas, my list is weird enough. Seriously, last year I had cheese and world peace. What great products should I get?

Hey girl, start with a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Use the moisturizer on the dry areas. Other things to get? Spot treatment for any acne and oil absorbing pads for those oily spots on your face. And I hope Santa brings world peace to you this year. It's on my list too.

I have a friend that's tried both proactiv and neutrogena but she said they both didn't work/ we were supposed to try proactiv together until I found out how expensive it was. and then her cheeks peeled when she left on one of the products by accident. i noticed it cleared most of her pimples later on though. but then she said it's not working anymore. so im not sure what to do. i have lots of pimples on my forehead and deep painful ones on my chin and nose.

MOD(and gurlies) do you have a tried and true acne cleanser that really works? my skin only gets dry in the deep winter like dec. or jan. so anything is an option. i am on erithromycin and differn medications, but i get blackheads, whiteheads and only one or two pimples. other gl users, if you have an idea that really works, comment on my profile! and mod thanks so much for taking time out of your way to comment. have a good weekend!

Hey chicky, when my face breaks out, I also dab a little proactiv on my pimples, and they're gone within two weeks. Try Clean and Clear and Neutrogena. Witch hazel and toothpaste helps acne too.

Hey girl! You can def try Proactive out. It will prob help! You can also try any wash or cream with benzoyl peroxide in it. That ingredient usually helps out best with breakouts!

my mom is a pharmacist, and tonight she brought me home this cream. you wash your face with a mild facewash (i use olay deep- cleansing) and then you put on this special cream. and, at night you take a pill, which clears your sking up in just two weeks! on my account, i will post the results daily, so i can see how it progressed. i'll also have the medicine name on there, so you can ask your doctor or pharmacist about it!

Hey girl, I def see what you mean. Try asking your friend what's up and let her know if she wants to talk to you, she can. You should also consider talking to her 'rents about it if you're really worried. Follow your gut on this one. It could be serious.

Hey girl, that's def hard. Think about what your friend likes. Is she a big Edward fan? Get her a cut-out of her dream man and write a note calling him her special birthday guest. When it comes to picking out presents for friends, however, it's all about being personal. Write your girl a nice letter about how much she means to you. She'll keep it, I promise. Think about the things that make her uniquely her. Any inside jokes? Anything meaningful you should get her? Listen to your heart on this one. It'll def lead you on the right path.

I use this tea tree oil face wash from the body shop that works really well!!! I also have this little brush type thing that you use to help clean your face ( it rubs in the face wash) and it helps A LOT!!!! My skin is much clearer now.

Well to start, I'm in love with my ex-boyfriend. BUT he doesn't like me (though we are good friends now) and he is in love with another girl and says she loves him too (I've never met her). Also my mom said I'm not allowed to like him (noooo!)so...there's also another guy who I sorta like and we're good friends and I know for a fact that he likes me. If you're not ready for a new relationship yet just tell him that. You don't want to hurt him by dating him when you're really thinking about someone else. Let him know that you like him as a friend and that maybe in a month or so or whenever you're ready to move on from your ex (which you should do, but at your own speed) then maybe you two could try. If he really likes you he'll wait.

i don't really have a lot of acne but i still wash my face every day and drink lots of water and exercise, it's better! plus when you eat a lot of sugar at one time you seem to break out afterward, i've noticed that on my friends.

If it's something you really shouldn't have to do, just say no and stand your ground. If you give in a lot people will begin to realize that you'll do it if they ask enough. If whatever they're asking you isn't a big deal then say yes right away but if you really don't want to then you have to be strong and not give in, no matter how many time they ask.

Pretty much every face cleanser I can think of makes a product for combination skin. It shouldn't be much more expensive than whatever face cleanser you're using now. Just check out the products where you usually buy yours and read the labels to find on that fits your skin type.

I have shoulder length hair with soft curls and side bangs. If I sleep on my hair it looks horrible in the morning (as in the short layers are mushed in weird directions and most of the curl is gone). How can I keep my hair pretty. Also, I have gym every day. How can I put my hair up so that it'll stay, but won't have lumps or take out the curl. Thanks!

Hey girl. Can you do your hair in the morning? Use a flat iron to fix the lumps or a curling iron to add more volume. Sometimes lumps can be cute in a pony- think of a loose, messy bun. Totally casual yet chic.
