I had a question about dance particulary for Megan P cuz she wrote the dance articles. I am thirteen and have little dance experience. I've had a weird obssession about dance lately. I want to get really good, but not much money for private/more than one reg class as im already doing other things. how can i get good in addition to classes? What are some stretches i can do at home? is ballet to hard to catch up in? What are the best types? thanks

Hey!

If you want to be a good dancer, you have to start with the basics. Try to stretch any time you can when you're at home. Working towards getting your splits is best. It's a start. It is never too late to start with dance. There are plenty of beginning classes for beginner dancers. Ballet of course is challenging, but there are classes out there for you. Ballet is really where everything starts with dance. What you learn in ballet will help you with every other style of dance. Jazz, lyrical, and tap are fun too! Try everything. New is a good thing. Good luck with your dancing!

Hey girl! The best and quickest way to get some exercise is definitely to take a jog outside! You could run around your neighborhood and do sprints for a couple minutes here and there to change it up. Also try squats and lounges to tone up your lower half. Good clothing stores for girls on a budget? I am a huge Target fan! They also have cute workout tank tops and yoga pants that are comfortable and easy to move around in. Also, if you want to exercise inside you could try a yoga or dance exercise DVD. They can be a lot of fun!
