5 Minute Hair and Makeup Ideas

 

Who can spend an hour on hair and makeup in the a.m.? Uh, we don’t and we’re pretty sure you don’t either (hey, a girl needs her beauty sleep!). But that doesn’t mean you have to lose sleep to look amazing. We’ve got some super-speedy tricks to get you gorgeous—and out the door on time. Mornings have never looked so good.


Forget Foundation
There’s no need to slather foundation on your gorge face every a.m. Not only does it take forever, but it can make you look older. Instead, use a small amount of concealer to cover up blemishes and apply a tinted moisturizer over it. Let your natural beauty shine through.

Stick to the Essentials
Forget putting on a full face of makeup. Instead, apply two coats of black mascara for a wide-eyed look and a swipe of pink gloss. You’ll look pretty and polished, with zero effort.
 

VS Lip Glaze in Fuchsia, $10, victoriassecret.com

Pump up that Pony
A ponytail with volume is totally rockin’ (and not a bit boring). Backcomb strands at the crown of your head with a small brush. Gather all of your hair into a sky-high pony. Add a cool elastic and you’re set.
 


Zap Drying Time
Blow-drying your hair can take forever and a day. When you’re in a hurry, focus on the t-zone only (around your part and hairline). If it’s too cold to go out with damp hair, use a dry shampoo to refresh locks.



Get Lippy
Make your lipstick work double (or triple) duty. Apply a couple of dabs on your cheeks and blend like crazy for a makeshift blush. Or use your fingers to smudge some on your lids as a girly eyeshadow. Just make sure to blend, blend, blend and add mascara.

i have very light skin, medium dark brown hair(shoulder length), and dark blue-gray eyes. do u have any makeup and hair ideas for everyday that will make me look amazing?

 

Hey girl,

 

Try using a bronze eyeliner (make sure you smudge it so the line isn't too defined!) with peach, copper, or gold eyeshadow.  That will bring out the blue in your eyes and really make them pop!  Use a light pink lipgloss to keep things natural.  As for hair, try mixing it up!  Wear it down one day, in a ponytail the next, half-up-half-down the next, etc.  Variety is a great thing Smile

Hey girl, try some rose blush, pink lip gloss, and gold or brown eye shadow. You can use brown mascara instead of black for a less harsh look.

Hey girly! 

If you're into Hollister, I know they're big on the knit sweaters, beachy tanks and holey jeans. As a creative add-on though for the winter, sew patches onto the holey parts. Makeup wise I'd go with brown mascara, pink lip gloss and peach shimmer eye shadow. Hair- Straighten it, take one piece and twist it with your fingers, attach with a bobby pin to the side of your head.

i usually wear mineral powder that takes 2 seconds to put on, mascara, and lipgloss. I really like the ponytail with the flower.......i think im gonna do that soon! i just need my hair cut first.....its too thick rite now lol.

Hey babe, Leggings and fun patterned tights are always great. You can wear flats or boots, (though stay away from calf-high boots with skirts, for the most part, or long skirts with tall boots). If you're not going anywhere too fancy, you can even wear sneakers or flip flops if you want (and it's warm enough). Cute t-shirts are great for a casual look or a nice top if you're going for something fancier. Just avoid wearing a long, tunic top with a short skirt. Basically, you can do pretty much anything! Hope that helps!

mod i need help!!!! i have layered hair that is naturally straight and is medium length. hair color is brown and my eyes are a like a bright blue with gray mixed in. i need a quick makeup tip and hair tip please and thank you. i only have like half an hour in the morning for my hair and makaeup.

 

Hey chicky, your hair sounds cute the way it is, so spice it up with hair accessories. Throw a headband on one day and put hair clips and pins in it the next. Black, grey and all types of blue would look really cute on your eyes and make 'em pop. Getting glamorous doesn't have to take up that much time, so hopefully these tips help! Smile

I have dark dark dark brown hair. It's really thick, and kinda curly. The thing is I'm SOOO envious of girls with naturally red hair. I'm mostly Irish, and people ask my why I don't have red hair! I think red hair is sooo gorgeous. I don't want it to look fake or bad, so do you have any ideas? Should I do my whole head, or just reddish highlights? Should I do it myself, or have the hairdresser do it?

im trying to get long, healthy hair so my new years res was to use as little heat as possible. i have just past shoulder length hair. i cant wear it up in a ponytail, braids, ppigtails, or a bun. i've tried braiding over-night but it doesnt work.... any ideas?

 

Hey babe, braiding it will actually break your hair and damage it. Try eating lots of healthy foods and getting plenty of sleep. You can also try massaging your scalp for a few minutes every day to make your hair grow a little faster.

Are you always trying to rush to get the AM stuff done?? This will help give you a little more in the AM
Take some lip gloss that is clear and a liquid and put some on the lips (if you want to make your lips look bolder or if clear just is't enough, try a light pink color that is close to your natural lip color)

So you look at the clock and you still got a minute or two left. Try putting a lil' mascara on and perhaps some eye shadow that is a white to pink color. -You look FAB!! In less than 3 minutes!!

With ivory skin, it's best not to wear too dramatic colors so I'd go for any variation of pink for lip color and then light shimmer on your eyelids. Add a touch of mascara and you're good to go!

Get feathered bangs that you can wear in front of your face or sweep to the side. You don't have to wear pink to have bangs or change your style either.

Hey chica, yup you could defintely wear both. All ya need is a little bit of eyeliner and one coat of mascara. That will give your eyes just the right amount of pop without it looking too dramatic. Smile

Brown eyeshadow will probably look good on you. Also, i suggest you go to google and look up good make up for your skin type, hair color and eye color. That will give you good tips. xoxo kerra
