Get in your best shape in 10 minutes a day!
 
Between homework and extracurrics, it can be tough to squeeze in time to breathe, let alone a major workout. That's why we've compiled our best-ever fast, fit and fun tips so you can feel amazing in just a few minutes a day. Plus, we're dishing on nutritious, on-the-go snacks to gobble and easy ideas that'll keep you fit during the holidays. Yep, sharing up this fall is gonna be a breeze!
 
Week 6: Take a Break from Exercise
 
EATS Get involved with din (and we don't mean picking Chinese or pizza). Chop veggies, find a great grilled fish recipe, contribute a salad course to the meal. Why? Studies show that girls who eat with their fams are more likely to have healthy eating habits.
EXERCISE Take a min to evaluate. If midterms or holidays have you harried, try some yoga. Not helping? Relax and take a couple of days off from exercise if you need to. Feelin' good? Add intervals this week.

MOD! okay since thanksgiving is coming up soon im most likely gonna be eating a lot! which means gaining some weight. and to make it worse, my birthday is next monday which means going out to eat with the family and cake. i like running a lot but we are having family here this week so its gonna be kind of busy to go on a run every other day or so. how can i not gain weight over thanksgiving!?

 

Hey girl! Try to eat right and not overeat. Control your portions and skip the second piece of apple pie. Do a few cruches and push ups to keep some exercise in your daily routine!

MOD okay i'm not un healthy or anything but i thought no harm done in walking on the tread mill so how long should i?

i jus had like the best 20 min workout ever. n i did it right in my house! i didnt even change in2 gym clothe. i just decided i didnt wanna watch tv n started playing with some sticky things i hav but got bored n grabbed my soccer ball. then my workout started, i tried dribling it between my feet like the coach makes us do at practice/tryouts n im really bad at it so i was practicing. u just jog in place while kicking the ball back n forth, try not 2 look. then i did toe toches, u know like high knees but u jump up n down n touch the ball with the tip of ur foot. it was a great workout. n then 2 clomplete it i grabbed my ipod n did a 5 min major workout. 1 min toe toches, 1 min plank, 1 min n a half dribbling. then 1 min and a half plank. wait thats 4 mins. whateve3r it was a good ending. ill prob do that a few days a week now or just 1 day on the weekend if i make the soccer team.

MOD i think u guys should interview stars about there workout routine. cuz there so fridgig skinny, i know its prob they got like specialists but still.

 

Thanks for the suggestion and cool idea by the way. We always need girlies to give us tips on different things we can do to make the mag better so thanx! Smile

Want to eat healthy but not ready to go full vegetarian?
Solution: Go semi-veg! This means that you will not eat cow and pig but still eat chicken and turkey (basically cutting out red meat). Or, you can give up all of those and just eat seafood.

Solution2: Moderation! Instead of every meal, eat meat just once a day or maybe once every couple days.

Solution3: Lower quantities! The average American eats 6 servings of meat a day (2 servings per meal) when all they need is 3 a day. How about you eat meat every meal but only half a serving each meal?
