I'm always treated like "one of the guys." Why?

I’ve never had a BF, and I don’t understand why. My friends say I’m pretty and fun.

But all the guys tease me and treat me like I’m one of them. How can I get them to see me as a potential girlfriend?

BILL: Two possibilities here. First, you come from a family with lots of boys and hung out with guys all your life, so you don’t get all starry-eyed over guys like a lot of girls do. Second possibility? You’re smart and ambitious, and you have a lot more to do than trying to attract guys. Guys like to be doted on. If you’re not the doting type, you may not be the dating type. For now.

DAVE: Never date someone just for the sake of dating. If you’re treated like one of the guys, that’s good. It means guys like to be around you. At least one of those guys will eventually decide he wants to be around you when none of the other guys are around. Be patient and wait for the type of guy who wants to be with the type of girl you are, not the type of girl you think you need to be to get a guy. Then, you can join your friends in being paranoid that your BF thinks your BFF is hot, getting grossed out by him and fearing he’ll trash you when you inevitably break up. Enjoy.
