Ok so my 2 moms (who are lesbians) were practially married when they had me but they wernt. Now they went their seprate ways, but me and my brother swich houses and see both of them equaly. Now they both have new girlfriends and the mom Im closer to, just got a new girlfriend like 4 months ago. She is coming to our Thanksgiving party, and we just got in a huge fright and now she probally hates me. Ive been having a really hard time lately, and this is not the first fight. I apoligized but I said I didnt really know what for, then figured it out and tryed apolgizing again. She said that I didnt mean it and to go back to my house. Help!

ok soo i reallly really like this guy. he and i are really good friends. we are in the same group, eat lunch 2gether and hang out together in study hall(w/ other friends 2). we also text a lot and have gone to the movies with 2 other friends. i also always catch him looking and smiling at me then he looks away quickly. well 2 of my friends know that i like him and were whispering about how clueless he is and stuff a few feet away while he and i were talking and listening to his ipod. later on he told them that he's known about my liking him for a while. but he hasnt said anything 2 me about it which is wierd because hes usually really straightforward and doesnt sugarcoat things!! i still like him and i dont know wat to do now because i dont want to make our friendship awkward. sorry its so long. thanks bunches

Okay, i know you guys aren't doctors, but I'm really confused about this one problem and I'm kind of embarrassed when I talk about body stuff with my mom. Anyway, I have a tiny red spot by my pubic area on my hip. It sort of looks like a small pimple since I have been touching it so much, but I am kind of worried about it. What do you think it is?

Kk this might be long. So i REALLY like this guy and he is literally the nicest and friendliest person ive ever met. we are more than just acquaintances but not exactly friends... more like.. coworkers. see, we're working on this tv show project thing and all we ever talk about is writing. He also hugs everyone and is really hyper around everyone whether he knows them or not... but around me he acts all monotone and business even though i try my hardest to act fun around him. What im wondering is do you think i have a chance and what should i do? My friend asked him what he thought of me once and he said Nice, outgoing, seems like friend quiality but nothing more. please help

Send him some signals. Keep trying to joke around with him, smile, flirt, make eye contact. But also, make sure that you are working hard on your project and impress him with your intelligence and TV skills. Get to know him a bit more and see if he sends you any signs.

Ok I really like this guy who is in a lot of my classes. He is super outgoing and talkative. He always hangs out in a big group of people so I never really get a chance to talk to him much. However I seem to catch him glancing at me in all the classes we have together, but I'm not sure if he's looking at me because he likes me or if he's really bored. He also is less talkative then normal around me and whenever I sit near him he always taps his feet really loudly and messes with his hair. However the other day I asked one of his friends that is a girl if he liked anyone and she said she thinks he might like one of her friends but then she quickly added "Well I'm not really sure if he does like her"............so do you think he likes me???

It's hard to tell. Sometimes guys get shy around girls because they like them and sometimes they get shy around girls because they don't really know them. I have a seriously stressed out friend. She's totally negative about things, and stresses over SLIGHT things such as her jersey number (she wants it to be her lucky #13). She even lost hair over all her stress!! I'm trying to help her by telling her to be positive, say three things you liked about today before you sleep, keep a diary, etc..but she just won't cooperate!! Like when I tell her to say three things she liked about today, she says "Uhh, NOTHING!!" And I say "Little things, THINK!! Like you had your favorite breakfast today?" And she still can't come up with anything. It's really hard on me because I think her negativity is rubbing off on me like I was in a really good mood..and after talking to her..suddenly my mood turns sour. HELP ME!!

You've been giving her good advice so far, but she might just need a really good vent. Instead of telling her to be positive and tell you positive things have her talk out what's going on her head. It might be negative for a while, but soon she'll start to realize what's really bringing her down and snap out of it. Keep your sunny, positive self happy and distance yourself at times to avoid catching her negativity!

I'm in love with my best friend's older brother. He's two grades older than me, and in high school. He likes all the same music I do, and likes some other of the similar things that I do. when I've read some of the things GL has said to girls with a similar problem the answer has for the most part been "forget about him" and "he's too mature mentally and physically for you." I completely understand the reason and logic behind all of these statements. I see all of the cons. but I also see all the pros. I don't think it's humanly possible for me to do these things at this point. I don't know what to do with my self. sometimes I'll just go home and break down crying. I'm stalking him. I know all his classes and everything. I'm EXTREMELY shy around guys. the time I did talk to him though about this band I love it really felt great (he started the convo) I'm just can't seem to do anything but runaway when I see him for the two minutes that I do while walking down to art, past the high school building. I realize that he probably likes other girls, who are tall and pretty, I'm not ruining that , and I'm not mad at that girl. xoxo-Emily

Hey Emily,

First, consider your friend who might not be down with you liking her brother and talk to her about it. Second, relax. I know how intense crushes can be, but stalking is only going to make it worse. Try talking to him more about music, but take a step back and realize that the two of you are in completely different worlds right now. That might change when you go to high school OR when he gets to know you a bit better and sees you outside of his sister's friends. It's great that you can see both ends of the spectrum and just go with what you know. If you like him, start talking and completely forget that you are shy!

Try babysitting or doing errands for family friends and neighbors. Talk to your parents about an allowance, but don't expect them to give you one. If they see that you are making an effort to earn your OWN money, they might offer to match what you earn weekly through an allowance.

You need to talk to your friend and tell her how you feel. Be upfront and tell her how much she means to you and how you don't want to hurt her, but you can't help but be really into this guy.
