I get stress headaches at school almost every day. The nurse won’t give me aspirin or anything.

The headaches go away when I leave school, though.

You’re one of the 10 percent of kids who get headaches. Two percent are just like you, suffering from them on a daily basis, says Dr. Kenneth Mack, pediatric neurologist, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.

Certain situations often trigger headaches, as you know, but you can’t avoid school so try these tricks: 1) Sleep. Two-thirds of kids with daily headaches don’t get enough of it, Dr. Mack found in a study. 2) Get a note from your pediatrician so you can take ibuprofen at school. 3) If over-the-counter meds don’t work (give it a week), see your doctor for a prescription to get headaches under control.

I'm a part of that 10% only bcuz the headaches come from my dad's side of the fam. Now I don't get headaches everyday, but I get at least 1 a week.

Don't be nervous! Doctors want you to be healthy, so he or she will just give you a check up and make sure you're physically okay. (Checking your vision, hearing, height, weight, etc)

My mom has told me the key to not getting headaches is sleep but that could be because she thinks I dont get enough of it. She is always complaining about me staying up late but that isnt everyday.

okay this is a REALLY awkward question, but here goes nothing. i've had my period for 4 months and i'd really like to start using tampons instead of pads.my mom's fine with it, and so am i. i can get it in, but when its time to pull the applicator off i get so freaked out that i pull the whole thing back out and now i wasted a perfectly good tampon cause i chickened out. im calm enough to get it in and im not afraid of it getting 'stuck' or anything, but i just get all weirded out once its in and freak. anything i can do to chill more?

You could try OB tampons. They are really discreet and don't have an applicator. You put your finger in the tampon and insert it like that.

do you enjoy school? (that might seem like a silly question but some people do some don't) do you have friends that are nice in school? i get headaches sometimes, mostly when im doing stuff i dont enjoy, or when people are being mean to me. when im doing fun stuff, i get them less (there is no one trick that does everythin) that might not work for you, but it might help!

I have same problom but I don't get headaches. My Stomach growls. Like really loud. I eat a decent amount of size for Breakfast. Like waffles and Juice. But in class before lunch it makes really loud noises.

Hey girl! It's prob just prime time for you to eat again. Try chewing a piece of gum to help your stomach calm down a little!

Hey gal, you could always pluck the ingrown hairs to get rid of them. To dtich the heat rash, try washing your skin with a mild soap and keeping it moist, avoiding the sun, or using talcum powder. If it doesn't get any better go see your doctor. Hope this helps ya girly!

Hey girl, talk to your mom about your symptoms, and don't freak yourself out by assuming it's H1N1 before you see a doctor. She should have some insight on what you can do to help relieve your pain and it also might be a time to visit the old doc for a checkup.

Since your situation is a little extreme, I'd definitely have your 'rents schedule an appointment with the doctor to get you checked out. He or she will be able to either prescribe stronger medication or give you advice on how to help ease your discomfort.

Ok few problems
1) My birthday is in December and that month is super busy so it hard to find a date that works we have Christmas parties, my drama club is performing so what day should I do it?
2) I only want to have a couple friends over but what if my other friends ask if I am having a party, or find out?
3) One of my friends (i am not inviting her) has been really mean. Yesterday she was over and I burnt my thumb (really bad) with a flat iron and she didn't even ask if I was ok. She just got mad that I dropped her flat iron from the shock i got.

ok so i sorta have a problem, there is this girl who ive known for forever...shes my friend and is EXTERMELY shy a few years ago she fallowed me everywhere...no joke at all. and this year the fallowing stated yet again and i am literally going completly insane. everyday in pe she is my shadow. our lockes are by last name so mine and hers are nowhere together...i change with the friends on my row, and walk ouside with them...because they are with me anyway. but this girl will change really quickly and sit on the bench where i changed and wait until im done getting dressed! then if i have to use the bathroom, she follows me there too and waits...then she follows me out to prelap and walks with me...the prelap walking is not a problem but the everyday continues following is a HUMUNGOUS issue. we are to EXTREMLY differnt people i am a social butterfly and she so quiet and never talks. my friends give big efforts to make her speak as well but nothing at all...i am about to let everything out! in pe i am SUPER competitive and on hard team...my bgf always is on my team and we pick our teams together...hes always nice enough to include her but in pe she shands in the middle of the court and doesnt NOTHING just STANDS there next to me when i am really in it and everywhere! i need a way to nicely tell her that i can meet her at the door and walk out to pe then instead of her waiting for me...there was a small issue with our familys a while ago...i am tired of having another shadow when infact i have one already! my parents know...i am going to go INSANE..burst...scream anything if this akward moments dont stop now. is there any way i can nicely put that she can wait for me at the door and maybe be on different teams due to the difference in personality/efforts? Please help me before i wither away to nothing!!!

Hey girl, gently tell your friend that while you like hanging with her, it might just work better if she waited for you at the door. Tell her you like to mix your teams up and in the end, do your own thing. Don't feel pressured to have to wait for her or accommodate to her. Just be sure to be polite.

i guess im one of those 10% or even 2% cuz i get headaches ALL THE TIME! basically every day. i get nauseas and dizzy SOOO easily, i cant spin around more than once without falling over ;p and i DEFINITELY dont get on any carnival rides. i can get on some rollercoasters, but i still get nauseas. and oh yea! i get CAR SICK WAYY TOO EASILY so i take aspirin or something almost everyday cuz i'll probably throw up otherwise! :p and thats the same for planes, boats, or just sitting in class, i get sick sooo easily and i hate it! so i know where your coming from!!!
