Morning Yoga

 
I’m not exactly a morning person. In fact, getting outta bed is basically the toughest part of my day. I decided to do something about it.
 
For the past couple of days, I started my day with 10 minutes of sun salutations. They’re a series of energizing poses that’ll get your blood flowing, while still bringing a relaxing vibe to your a.m. You can find the series by checking out a yoga book from your library (I swear by OM Yoga: A Guide to Daily Practice, because it’s sooo easy to follow) or simply google “sun salutations” and see what pops up.
 
The result? I still haven’t given up my daily cup o’ joe, but I definitely feel more refreshed and on-point when I get to GL headquarters. It’s a fab new habit and I’m gonna keep it going through the holidays!

that seems like a really good idea! I always feel really, well, blehhhh in the mornings, especially before school, so these would be really helpful Smile

im thinking about going vegetarian or eating less meat for a month and exercising three days a week. do you think this is a good idea?

I love yoga- hate mornings. So maybe if I do yoga in the mornings, I won't hate them so bad! In the morning I can't get out of bed that good at all though. I find myself going back to sleep after waking up.
Tommmorrow morning I'l try this! It has to be pretty good for your metabolism too.
Fun fact Water helps you with your metabolism!

thats cool. i used 2. but now i dont. im busy in the morning. well not but i go really slowwwww so i havta wake up early 2 do my hair n makeup n i always run out of time 2 fast n am kinda late.

Hey! You may know me as the vegetarian girl. I just want to say that I am not forcing anyone to go vegetarian and I am not bashing meat eaters. I just want to provide facts and give you the option to have the benefits of vegetarianism. I'm sick of getting rude comments from people that don't know better! But, thank you for all of you who support me and leave me good comments or questions or asking for advice.

This is a lame question but.. Should religious people practice Yoga? My mom doesn't like the idea of new age theories so I'm stuck. It sounds like a cool idea though and I want to try this.




Hey girl, I don't think religion has anything do with practicing yoga. It's a totes relaxing exercise that's good for you. I see no issue with it.

i have the total different problem as the article, i have a hard time staying awake in my 7th and 8th period class (my last 2 classes of the day) what are some ways to keep me focused through-out the day?




Hey girl, be sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night and have a good breakfast first of all: those are important for keeping your body in its best shape. As for your last two classes? Keep some water on you. It's def hard to fight your eyes sometimes especially when the content you're learning is boring, but know the best way to fight fatigue is by getting enough sleep at home.

The best way to make your hair grow faster is to eat plenty of fruits and veggies and to get lots of sleep.

Wow I ♥ Yoga! Except I don't have like a routine or anything...but I definitely want to start. I really wish GL would post like a five-ten minute yoga routine. I mean yeah, I googled it and found results but they're like kinda hard to follow. I'd rather have an easy-to-follow routine right here on GL. Smile P.S. I know you MODS look at each post just to check if it's appropriate, so I purposely said that so you guys would look at it and [hopefully] think it's a good idea and DO IT!! Smile

I like to run at the YMCA before school 4 or 5 days a week. It means going to bed early, but I can also get it out of the way before I get tired and caught up in other plans/homework. I am also EXTREMELY pumped up for the whole day, until I crash an hour or two before bed. The perf day, don't cha say? Smile
