Football season is in full swing! Sure it might seem like a simple sporting event, but what to wear comes down to finding a balance between comfy, cute and supporting your school or team by wearing their colors. Remember, the key to dressing for a football game is layers, layers, layers!
We’ve got some ideas that are sure to make a style touchdown!
Jeans are the best go-to for game-day gams. Wear a pair that you don’t mind gettin’ dirty on those bleachers! Matchstick jeans are perfect to tuck into boots. If it’s super cold outside (brrrr!), sport leggings underneath your denim for added warmth.
Don’t have your team’s jersey or sweatshirt? A zip-up hoodie in their color is spirited, and still practical. Perfect for layering, a hoodie lined with fuzzy fabric will keep ya extra comfy. A faux-fur hood is totally trendy and will be handy if the wind kicks up. Wear a simple tee underneath and throw a vest or jacket on top when the temp drops!
Wanna go less sporty, more sleek? Opt for a faux leather jacket as your topper. Wear a lightweight hoodie underneath, with distressed denim jeans to dress it down. Paired with a fab pair of boots, you’ll score some extra points for sure!
Be realistic. Football fans do a lot of walking, whether it’s from a parking lot or through a stadium up lots of steps. Flat boots are ideal for wintery weather, and will keep your toes from freezing. Don’t forget to wear a pair of thick socks!
Cold weather accessories are the perf way to show your team spirit! Look for scarves, hats and mittens in your team’s colors. Snuggle up with a blanket, pour a thermos of hot chocolate and enjoy the game!
