Freckles—I hate them! Mine are dark and stand out on my light skin.

Help!

Light skin equals frequent freckling. Fair folks have less melanin, which protects skin from ultraviolet sun rays. While the spots are cute, they can be signs of sun damage. So make sure you keep your fabulous freckles healthy. Use sunscreen—15 SPF, at least—at all times, and avoid tanning beds.

You only need to worry about freckles if one gets bumpy or turns into an asymmetrical, weird shape. If that happens, don’t get freaked, but definitely have your doc check it out just to be on the safe side, says Dr. Ariel Ostad, dermatologist and assistant professor, New York University Medical School. For now, embrace your fantastic freckle face.

I totally agree with you! I hate my freckles and want to get rid of them! But everyone says the same thing, use sunscreen, even my dermatologist. I guess my makeup helps cover it up too. Sorry, can't help ya either.

Embrace your freckles!!! They're going to be there today and tomorrow and the next day and there's nothing you can do about them! My advice is to love the skin you're in.

Mod mod mod, lately i´ve been getting really bad grades in math class, which isn´t like me, becuase i usually get very good grades in most of the classes. I´ve studied hard, but i have still failed 2 tests. I´ve already asked teh teacher for help, and i´m not sure it´s working. It´s really dumb, becuase i get really good grades in homework and classwork, but when it comes to math tests, i blank out. HELP ME!! I don´t want to disapoint my parents, and hve them think i´m just too lazy. HELP!

Hey girlfriend, I've defintely been there before. I was taking calculus and it looked like a foreign language lol. Seek help from your classmates. Ask someone who gets good grades to tutor you. Maybe you guys could meet sometime during or after school. Hope this helps!

I am in a sea full of drama!
My good friend (call her Hanna) and this girl (call her Liz) are the best point guards on the team and are totally fake to each other! Hanna always talks about how much she hate Liz and how she sucks at bball (even though she doesn't). I try not to say things I don't mean, like today Hanna was going on and on about how ugly, bad at basketball, and how much she hates Liz! None of these things are true, and it's kindof annoying to listen to.
Plus, I am in the popular group so to speak, and I just heard about a bunch of terrifying things many of the upperclassmen do. I guess about 45% of them smoke pot, drink and get wasted practically every weekend! One of my friend's dad smokes pot with him, his older brother, and their friends!I have also heard stories about girls "going down" on guys while wasted or high. I really like my group of friends, but they have already talked about whothey would get beer from if they needed it. I told them that if they ever got beer while I was there I would leave. I thought they would respect my decision, but Insteads they made a home out of it and said they were getting beer.
I am scared of peer pressure because I crack under it. I have already taken DARE and healy class after health class, but the situations they present don't happen, they are much harder to overcome than implied.
I am also freaked out of falling in love with someone that I am also extremely attracted to. The reason is obvious. I am a Catholic and know that it is a sin, but sometimes things are putti the back of my mind.
Help?

Hey doll, there is all sorts of stuff that you are going to have to face on your own as you get older. Its awful but it definately helps you develop who you are and what your morals are. If you feel like youre in a situation where you are uncomfortable, leave immediately, dont apologize to your friends or ask their permission, just say " Guys, this isnt for me" and go. Dont let them make fun of you and try to get you to involve yourself in things that could potentially hurt someone. xo JANA

i have a TON of freckles! i like a few on my face and on my shoulders but i have 2 many for my taste! someone can hav some if they want LOL! my friend has a few on her nose and checks and they r really dark and they look really good on her cuz they r dark and not a lot and she's pale so yeaaaaaaa.

MODMODMOD! =) My hair is extremely thin. They have NO volume at all. Well the main problem is, my bangs are always weirdly shaped, never straight. Also this prevents me from getting proper side bangs. I always have to pull my bangs up because of this, and thats always how i wear my hair - I want to let my bangs down sometimes! EHMAGAWD!!! Hey doll! Try wearing your hair culy to give it more volume. And a good hairstylist can help you get your bangs straightened out. So ask a parent to make a salon appointment for you.

MOD, ok so im 14. i have 4 older teenage brothers between the ages of 16-22. i also have a lil brother and sis, 10-12. the prob is. IM STUCK IN THE MIDDLE! and i need some privacy!!!! i cant take it much longer. im always kicked outa the bathroom early so that my brother can go, even when im in the shower the bang on the door! my lil bro ALWAYS comes into my room (me and my 12year old sis share) and when i tell him to leave, he just sits there and changes the channel on MY tv!. but when i go into his room i get into trouble!! all my brothers have their own rooms. (but one has a house and on eis in college). and me and my sis are getting our own rooms in a month as a christmas gift. but i no for a fact that i still wont have that much privacy. i cant keep a diary cuz my brother will find it.I DONT EVEN HAVE PRIVACY ON MY EMAIL OR FACEBOOK!!! she the told all my relatives on CHRISTMAS at dinner! i luv my sister to death but how can i get her to LEAVE ME ALONE! and i luv my lil bro (we adopted him when he was 6) but he is soo annoying! i luv my older brothers SOOOO much and they are my role models andi luv how they act so nice to me, but they also annoy me so much! plus, the other day, my older brothers (ages 16,17, and 19) kept making fun of me for wearing minnimum makeup! they were just like "whats that stuff on ur eyes?.." and my bro was like "hey! r u in a play? y u wearing all that makeup?" and i was like "I WEAR THIS EVERYDAY!! R U JUST NOTICING??" ughh. y do they act like this! they r so overprotective! wehn they found out i had a BF, they drove to his house and were gunna egg it!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM! luckily i told my mom this and she stopped them. but have u heard of such over protective brothers???? plus they say im too young to go to my skool dances and other middle skool dances!!!! UGHH MY BROTHERS WANTED TO CHAPERONE THEM!!!! (lucky i talked them outa it!) ughhh!!!! will u plz just tell me what to do so i can have atleast SOME privacy?!

Tell them to back off. Change the password on your facebook and email, so that your fam can't hack in to it. Tell them to leave your private life your private life. It's hard because your brothers want to protect you, but you want to be your own person. Stand up for yourself, but don't push them away because in the end, they are looking out for you.

i need some help. over the summer, i went on the clubpenguin website which i go on every so often. but this time i went on and somebody said are you good and i was like yeah and i went back to their igloo. before i knew it, i got involved in virtual sex. i am a Catholic and against premarital sex. i would NEVER want to break that. and i am so upset about what i did. did i have sex? am i not a virgin anymore? am i bad person? please answer these questions. i have tried to forget about it, but i go to a Catholic school and i here about sin and everything and all i want is to be a good person. i am so upset over this and i just dont know how to deal. i dont even know why i took part in something like this. help me please. i really wanted to go the Silver Ring Thing which is about chastity and i wanted to take a vow of chastity. Hey doll! Ask your doctor how much growing you have left to do. There's no real way to make your legs longer. But you can appear to be taller by having great posture. And I think L'Oreal is her real name.

I have a lot of brown freckles on my face, but not like how the redheads have them, I mean scattered, different. I don't have a problem with them, but just 5 weeks ago my friend told me it looks like I have MOLES! Moles?! Really? No one ever makes fun of me and people even say they look really really GOOD on me! They like them. I still don't think much of them, but I do feel a bit uneasy with my "beauty mark" on my hand. It's kind of bothers me too raise that hand in class. Other than that, freckles are no biggie! But then again..idkk why some people think they make you look so pretty! They aren't anything special, I promise!

I have freckles too but I don't really like them. I don't have a lot but the ones I have make me look like a little kid. Just wear sunscreen everyday and it can help get rid of them.

I have so much more freckles than you. You don't even realize how lucky you are, at least your gorgeous! I have the lightest skin out of all my friends (mostly because I'm half Irish) so I don't even look like I fit in to my group of friends. When my mom was younger, she tried everything to get rid of her freckles, but nothing worked. Later on in her life, she tried SUNSCREEN, which changed her whole face! She has very little freckles and looks great! My tip to you, wear sunscreen every day and your freckles should be gone in a fair amount of time. Your friends will be able to tell the difference, trust me!

Hello there!
Okay... well I am totally stressed. Everyday. I am always so tense.. and it drives me crazy! I drink earl grey tea to calm me down, but it wears off after about an hour. I feel paranoid and just so... tight. It's easy to tell I am, because I have been told I look like I am in 'pain'. Is there anything to do (other than excercise) that can wind me down and keep me... not tense?
